People think organic tastes better because they want it to. Pen and Teller did a taste test for it only they reversed the lables so the subject thought he was eating organic food when he was actually easting inorganic. Of course, he said the organic tasted better when he had eaten inorganic food.
Noooo if the label says "organic" it's just an excuse to charge you like 5 bucks more even if your kids are healthy and do good on their quiz today...
don't really see why you would have a problem with hydrogen peroxide(H2O2 or ozone(O3)? after all it just has more oxygen in it. heck, we breath the stuff :l
You mentioned DDT. Do you realize that DDT is actually perfectly safe for humans (it is deadly only to insects and some fish species) and that the whole thing was blown out of proportion by Rachel Carson who claimed it would kill off the entire wildlife? That's environMENTALism for you. So now we have people in Africa dying of malaria because of some irrational fear of a fictional scenario depicted by Rachel in her wholly unscientific book.
Not into eating chemicals that kill other things? I set out ethanoic acid all the time to kill bugs, but I'll bet most of you have enjoyed eating it, maybe even recently. Sometimes I use sodium chloride to kill plants. But there is an even greater chance most of you had some within the last 24 hours. That's where this video looses me.
look, chemistry is BAAaaD!!!! there were no allergies, the average life span was 20000 years and no one suffered from allergies before food chemisty came along
and remember - there are no naturally occurring toxins in nature
Organic food tasting better is a lie. Here's a trick. Cut a banana in half. Give one half to a person and tell them it is not organic. Give them the other half and say it is organic. They will likely tell you the "organic" banana tastes better. BUT IT IS THE SAME BANANA!
Why does bottled water from a 3,000-year-old source - such as a spring, mountain or glacier - carry a 'best before' date only two-years later? This bothers me. I can't stop thinking about it.
Because there is no 3000 year old spring water source. They SAY it is spring water or something fancy because of marketing, and it isn't a lie because of some technicality. Bottled water is bottled in factories with what is practically tap water, except bottled water has even fewer regulations than municiple tap water, so you may as well bottle your own... Also it is simply because sitting water can stagnate even if it is bottled. It's just obscure regulations so ppl cant sue.
I remember being taught at Uni that the "clear out period" that is the period in which no chemicals or inorganic fertilizers are applied is 7 years not 3 years according to USDA criteria. Has this changed?
More and more we buy organic, but I've always wondered why you can't just wash a vegetable or fruit clean from the chemical additives. I mean, do these additives literally become part of the food? I'm really curious about that one.
yea... it does, the skin of the fruit isnt like water proof, so it will absorb stuff, if not the plant will and it probably get into the fruit or product eventually. i mean, take a chemical bath for the whole summer, and thats pretty much it
"normal stuff"? When did genetically engineered organisms become "normal"?
No, what am I saying. Organic is just a label the government sticks on some food to increase costs and eventually make it impossible for anyone to afford food. Then the government will give us all free handouts that contain chemicals that control our minds and make us all slaves to the anti-christ.

Im glad that the government has a stricter definition of "organic" than chemists do. Chemists define "organic" as anything that contains carbon.
Coal wrapped in cellophane would be "organic". :-)
Of course, chemists use "organic" to classify a kind of compound, not to signify that something is healthy.

@googiek You'd be surprised at how angry the "organic" crowd gets when you point this out to them... and how much fun it is to provoke them!

The plastic it's stored in breaks down and affects the quality of the water.
Freig 2 years ago
It's because of the chemicals leaching into it from the plastic bottle. After two years it's pretty much toxic.
Shithead1a 1 year ago
@WeirdestChicEva Because the source has a "Best before" date of 3002 years from it's creation?
Even though this is not a full hypothesis.
mantas1111000 1 year ago
@WeirdestChicEva because when its in its source, it flows or is frozen, whereas in a bottle, it doesnt, thats why rivers never have stale water!
calmvschaos2 1 year ago
@WeirdestChicEva because water is only good for 3002 years, after that it goes bad.
justincase80634 1 year ago
@WeirdestChicEva thats just the shelf life. the water can last way longer then a month...
zenthex1234 1 year ago
@WeirdestChicEva I think that it's because of the plastic bottle or something
