Awesome song John! I play but am not quite the picker you are. I can relate to your song. Mom sold my home place in 2000 after dad died in 94. to big of a house for her by herself. She lives close by and has a smaller house she says is wamer. It still feels weird someone else living where I lived from 2 months to 20 yrs old. My dad used to play fiddle in local blue grass/country rock bands back in the 60s an 70s. il send you a website in a private mess. and a sub, and thanks it was beautiful.

This is so touching, John - a straight, gentle shot to the heart. It reminds me so much of the day I went back to say goodbye to the house I grew up in after it was sold...walking through those empty rooms it was almost like you could hear the echoes of all those memories. John, I saw a comment by CEFDAD about this song and immediately had to see it. This song is absolutely beautiful. I have to agree that this is the most well crafted original piece I have heard on YouTube. This song in incredible and you have a very wonderful gift. Beautiful, John. Can you write me a song, John? I lost my husband last year. He was leather....I was (not quite) lace. He was red neck...I'm up to my neck in sadness and memories. He was truly the "wind beneath my wings". I just wish I had known it before I lost him. I have a 17 yr old grandson I wish you'd listen to and comment. He's Chris Taylor, singing Blues Man, at Wagon House Opry. A rare talent who can sing anything.

I appreciate it. My grandson wrote "KEEP ON PUSHING" for my husband, a year before he died. My husband was really the only Dad he ever knew. Chris is also lead sing/songwriter for Highway 80. This is so touching, John - a straight, gentle shot to the heart. It reminds me so much of the day I went back to say goodbye to the house I grew up in after it was sold...walking through those empty rooms it was almost like you could hear the echoes of all those memories. I love this, it is a gift for all of us...thank you so much for sharing it.

Thanks so much! ALways happy to hear when someone can relate to this song. I almost never wrote this one cause at first I just used a song called "This Old House," written by Schuler, Knobloch and Bickhardt. One of them wrote me an e-mail and he wasn't happy I used his song. I pulled the video and thought, well I guess I'll write one myself and this is what I came up with. It's been popular but only because of the other song called empty rooms I never knew about. But people still watch it though

Beautifully done John. The theme and the pictures and your song. I often think of the "Wizard of OZ". It was a fairy tale adventure but in the end it was simply a movie about yearning for your home and peope you love (and love you). You realy captured what is special in life. Hllo everybody..im from southgermany and this is one song that makes me ry *sorry*
I think about the appartment that i ha with my girlfriend and the da we must leave th e appartement the song was plaing,and im itting no at the breakfast on sunday morning.But its an very emotional song im a sensitive person,i can sometimes feel what was happend in houses and appaertements long tmes ago.Its smtime wounderfull but sometimes scary.The "Atmophere and Aura" of these Rooms .Song 5 Stars. *****
