  • Amabel's relaxed hair looks drier...or is it just me? and also, those "tips" at the end were not really tips at all! they were just discouraging ppl from going natural..

  • Most people don't know how to take care of relaxed hair. And that's why it doesn't grow. I've had my natural hair til high school then got a relaxer and my hair was still growing because I knew how to take care of it with no vitamins needed...now I'm letting my relaxer grow out because I want my curls back. Bt when I had a relaxer it was way easier cuz all I had to do was wash and blow dry

  • Natural hair is hella work and sometimes I dont even look fresh but on the days that I do and get complimented on it...makes it all worth it.

    BTW I'm 12%kinky curly and 88%Kakalon arrrrgh!

  • ... umm.. did you say water dries out your hair??

You may need to do some research and revise that statement

  • water doesnt dry out your hair 0.o

  • BTW, the vid is cute ^_^

  • lol @ water dries your hair out.

Water is MOISTURE it doesnt dry your hair out.

The only reason why her hair is dry is because she doesnt SEAL the moisture in.

Her hair is pretty tho & this video was crazy funny.

  • @EIGHTY7ISH i agree LOL waster def does NOT dry your hair out…come on water is universal moisture

  • she reminds me of Nicki Minaj , because the way she talks ! :)

  • Am i the only one who heard boobiestar

  • your sister reminds me of nicki minaj hahaha. cute video:)

  • Natural is a lot better ad healthier, all these weaves, relaxers and crap all just ruins your hair and it will affect women in the future.

  • You both have beautiful hair!!! But I'm natural and I have that 4Z hair that I really have to work with to bring out the curl pattern. I am looking for a product that will make my curls pop. I use Ecostyler or Aloe Vera gel after I wet the hair. It's just work, but I will never go back to relaxing. Thanks for the vid.

  • Loved the bloopers :D I completely agree with your mom, I find it easier to maintain my natural hair and keep it looking healthy than when I was relaxed.

  • ooh i understand what the natural one is talking about. natural hair is a lot of work, but it's more versatile and gives you an oomph when it's big and fluffy or curly. if i want my hair straight like relaxed hair then i can just flat iron it.

  • What country are you guys from?

  • @iluvnyc07 we are from America. Born and raised in NYC.

  • i love this vid. natural hair is alot of work. but i switch it up. i havent permed my hair since november. ive cut my hair bald twice trying to go natural but this last time i dont think i can last. lol . i got 2 perms in my bathroom closet. lol

and OMG your sister sounds like nicki minaj lol :)

  • @LADYBUG973 well if ur natural and you need your hair manageable then you might wanna try texturizing your hair or putting BKT this time. I don't like to stand in the way of anyone's natural hair journey but it's what I would do if I started from scratch

    .

  • @amabelscorner thank you. i will try it. i ve heard that i should try a texturizer, but i never got around to buy one lol.

  • whoa ur sis needs a youtube channel!

  • Is HER curly hair really dry? Cause you said curly hair is dry repeatedly, but all of the natural girls that I know love their hair because it is less dry than the relaxed version of their hair.

  • @aayevents My sister has a hard time moisturizing her dry hair and I do not. Our hair is equally as dry however her hair is dry more often than mine because she has thick curly hair and everyday she needs to moisturize and style it and I don't. I moisturize, wrap it and don't have to do that for a week.

  • @aayevents did your natural friends take care of their relaxed hair like they take care of their natural hair? bc a healthy relaxed journey is similiar to a healthy natural journey. regular washing, moisturize&seal, co washing, deep conditioning & on & on. i think some blame relaxers for not growing or keeping hair when they should have taken a look @ what they did. did they have to relax @ the 1st sign of new growth, avoid water at all cost? that stuff adds up to unhealthy hair.

  • when you ask her questions she looks like she wants to beat you up. esp. when you asked would you ever relax your hair again lol

  • @0119alt My sister and I have a love/hate/hate/more hate relationship. She and I bump heads but if someone messes with me she's the first one to protect me.

  • YOUR SISTER IS HILARIOUS!

  • You guys dont look alike at all and you have very different personalities...very interesting video!!

  • @ByFaith2k10 I know. Everyone says that! I look like my mom and she's a mixture of both our parents. Our personalities couldn't be anymore different also.

  • Would your sister use the Kinky Curly brand? Also Moroccan Oil works very well on both hair types.

  • @huttoncam I've told her countless times about Miss Jessie's and Kinky Curly but she never listens to me.

  • The question is why do you relaxer your hair not why you dont relax??????

  • LMFAO! Your sister is the truth...I love my DR peeps...And now that I'm newly natural I know what your sis is talking about the gel just "flaking off"...I def always leave a leave in on my hair. But I think any hair is a lot of maintenance. The thing I like about natural hair is that it usually retains more length vs relax because usually natural heads don't use so much heat...and heat is what eventually breaks hair off..But relax hair is just un wrap n go...its always going to be a catch 22

  • your sister needs her own youtube channel. She is so funny...lol

  • @chrissyla8706 lol. I had to beg her for three days to do this. She didn't want to.

  • Sis is lookin right!!! tell her i said whats good lol

  • This Video was very funny...Natural hair is a lot of work... But its FLY when your in a crowd of women.. You just STAND OUT...

  • Your sister is hilarious! I love her lingo. NYC of course

  • your sister seems mad cool...and ya'll are so funny!

  • what's wrong with the African boyfriend?

  • @didi425 Yea exactly and does the mom have an issue with the white boyfriend? I bet she don't

  • @WhereYaBoss lol.. my mom liked her bf when he wasn't treating her badly. Now, she hates everything about him. And my mom does love Josh but not bc he's white but bc he treats me like a queen.

  • Hi I just want to inform you that 'water' is great for natural hair..it is a natural moisture.. of course you not just need water but it is the key to moisture. I have been natural for a while..love your videos... =)

  • i have natural hair and its as far as im concerned much easier to manage than relaxed hair.relaxed hair number one is already damaged hair no matter what it looks like.no matter how shiny.it is broken down damaged.and thats coming from someone that was relaxed almost all my life.i just feel as though they are both different but natural hair is just in its element and styling is easier.but thats my personal experience :-)

  • your family seems fun :)

  • I have natural hair currently, but I used to relax my hair, its a lot of maintenance either way. Black hair in general is high maintenance to keep healthy, but honestly, I have less maintenance with natural hair.

  • This is 2 funny! is your mom jamaican?

  • This is so funny i had to watch this 2 times ...cool fam!

  • and so true about the hair bringing out your face.. omg. its SO TRUE. I have to make sure my face is right, makeup, eyebrows hair etc cause you LITERALLY will look like a psycho crazy woman. especially since i wear my hair kinda crazy.

  • Let me tell you something... natural hair is NOT easier! I would never perm my hair (again, though it didnt work when i used to), seeing as now I love to wear my hair naturally alot, but straight hair is wayyyyy, INFINITELY easier to manage! Every time I want to wear my hair curly, I better be prepared to get in teh shower and wash it because the only way to get my hair looking good is wash it, conditioner then moisterizer and spray gel because that gel was destroying my hair going on it bare.

  • lol i loveeeeed your bloopers...your sister and mother are hilarious

  • I loved the natural hair. Amabel your sister and mom are hilarious!

  • Love your hair. I am natural too. I love it and I must agree it does make you stand out from the crowd. You should do a vid on your hairstyle in this video.

  • I liked that style alot. Can you have her do a tutorial?

  • oh she got that chola accent on deck lol

  • i do agree that natural hair is more work than relaxed...but when i use gel i put something creamy underneath ...i never just use the gel alone and when i do that...i have to refresh it in the morning with water n maybe some oil or some sorta spray...but yea water alone without anything will make ur hair look dry

  • hey for everyone who watches this, would you agree that the "camara lady" has a thick accent almost "Islandish" and her lil' sis, has a kind of spanish accent?

  • Your sister is beautiful. Are you Hatian or African decent? Def not Jamaican because I am Jamacian.

  • @beautiful4days We're neither. My mom is from Panama, English is her second language so thats why her accent is so thick. My sister always talks with this fake Jamaican accent that she thinks is cool(idk why).

  • @amabelscorner oh I see. Panama is very nice. I love your interaction with your family. Seems like a lot of fun and a lot of jokes. Thanks for sharing a piece of you to all of us.

  • I love this video Amabel, this is a great discussion, I was having a debate with my sisters about the same issue lol :)

  • I love the realness of your family( love your moms accent) makes me miss my mom. It was nice, like a sit down interview circle;-)

My mom pass away in 2001, but I lucky to still have my grandmother. I treasure her:-) Her hair has always been natural and beautiful she's never even wore makeup. I wish you could see. Her hair is curly, Hair is such an intimate subject for us women,I think it is important to love the hair you have and take care of it and it just grows also because of your love;-)

    Ha

  • @caja1111 I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I think hair is a woman's treasure and should be treated as such.

  • is ur mom caribbean or something????

  • I love it! weavitis.. I agree its is more everday maintence but my styles are the same every time i try it, moisture and seal it in is a daily for all black hair, if you want to achieve healthy hair. I also think with any hair and versatility, you need to know and practice your hair. But good vid!

  • @deede1 My dad is soooo against weaves. My sister likes to put in a track or two but my dad won't let her inside the house with it. He thinks weaves are for woman who are lazy and don't want to comb their hair, I tend to agree with him to a degree.

  • @amabelscorner weavitis, i mean the word i like , never heard of it. I agree sometimes we become dependent on hair extensions, and use it as a covre, but being natural has always been my greatest feat. To each its own ;-)

  • Are you ladies from the islands? I'm hearing accents from everyone.......

    Also are you both biracial?

  • @topmodelnj My sister thinks she's Jamaican..by way of the Bronx! Its her heavy NY accent combined with her Jamaican imitations.

  • @amabelscorner where is your mom from?
