  • I'm glad we don't have to hear her voice in this video. She had the single most annoying voice ever.

  • great song, great movie... yeahhh

  • I think she looks very pretty with her brows natural like that, I like that she had a very unique look and wasn't a cookie cutter actress

  • Oh my God, those 1930 bleach blond Jezebels! Squirt squirt squirt!

Yes, I have to squirt my face with cold water from a spray bottle to cool down.

  • she was dripping in sex appeal, no wonder no man could resist her. That is why William Powell wouldn't marry her because he didnt want to married to a woman that every man wanted. That song by Artie Shaw is very sexy

  • she was dripping in sex appeal, no wonder no man could resist her. That is why William Powell wouldn't marry her because he didnt want to married to a woman that every man wanted.

  • why did nearly all the actresses of the time have bleach blonde hair?

  • @Whyisthisthat It looked good on B&W film.

  • My favorite it that Jean Harlow is best beautiful too excellent film..thanks

  • she scares me

  • @arturbmallmann Bleach blonds are indeed scary. They summon thy seed like no other summoner. You are called upon to multiply immediately.

  • Between 2:26 and 2:39, Jean's so gorgeous it's mind-blowing!

  • standards were high in cinema at that time, that's not the girl next door; complex delicate, graceful, she was light as a feather.

  • I mention Harlow in The Celebrity Song.

  • Thats what I call a sex appeal

  • I'd buy THAT for a dollar!

  • Would you be shocked if I slipped into something a little more comfortable? Great line in Hells Angels as only jean could deliver it..

  • Boy was she sex on two legs!!!

  • sad she died at 26, shes smokin hot

  • i would have hit it

  • she died at 26

  • Wow, what an amazing woman...most impressive impression I've seen besides just one other...she still has such a remarkable presence!

    ...Mysterious, alright...

  • beautiful, sexy, and mysterious. she had it all.

  • She's just stunning in this movie

  • She looks at least fifteen years older than she actually was...but absolutely incandescent! What a beautiful woman! She had 'IT' in spades!

  • It is said Harlow could give a man more in one look than most women could in a lifetime

  • That dress at 0:48 is amazing. Very suitable for a bond movie these days I would think.

  • Both Jean Harlow and Marilyn Monroe were great young performers who were taken from the world way before their time!

  • So true.

  • Jean Harlow wasn't conventionally beautiful, but there's no denying her sex appeal. There have been many stars with a strong on-screen sexuality who were not the ideal of physical beauty -- Bette Davis and Barbara Stanwyck, for example. And on the male side, lots of women think Humphrey Bogart was sexy, and he certainly wasn't conventionally handsome.

  • @scotpens That's an excellent way to describe both Harlow and Bogie. To my eye Harlow's features were too coarse to satisfy today's standard of beauty. And of course she couldn't act... who could in the early days of film? I doubt she could even work TV commercials today.

  • Dead Wrong..!!...Maybe she couldnt act in this film...but she worked hard and became quite an acomplished comedienne...watch "Bombshell" she was far and away the best actor on the screen...

  • @NonStopRocker yes! i agree!

  • I luve Artie shaw...kik ass sounds!

  • Hell yeah, Artie shaw's the man!

  • oh by the way, were you talking about Jean or Marilyn? Jean was a good actress. Marilyn is an icon.

  • have you watched any of her movies? she actually is a pretty good actress. if you like her look or not, she does have talent.

  • all of the actresses-early cinema and today, wear theatrical makeup. in the early days, they had to, so it showed up on camera. todays actresses wear a lot of makeup too. just take a look at what they look like "naturally" compared to what they look like in reality. go to any movie studio and see what kind of makeup they use. lots.

  • Jean is beautiful. While she may not have been "classically beautiful", there was still something alluring and captivating about her.

She was so young in this clip. Thank you for sharing. She did look good with her own eyebrows.

She was a good actress. Funny, dramatic and in charge. It was sad that she left us too soon.

She is and will always be my favorite. She was the original bombshell.

    I love you Baby!

  • THE QUESTION IS WHAT EXACTLY IS THE DEFINITION OF "BEAUTIFUL"? Well, what I think is pretty is not what others think. Or what I say is not pretty is what someone else would think is pretty. This shows that we do not think alike.

  • Thanks for giving us the opportunity to see Jean Harlow. She's a marvelous example of an old times diva. Love this old but gold cinema. I wish I could buy her movies, but alas, so far I haven't had a chance =/

  • sideboob at :45 is awesome

  • she looked great walking away..

  • sorry but I gotta disagree...I think Jean was beautiful...in her early films like this one..she did wear too much makeup...but look at her in Libeled Lady or Wife vs Secretary or Red Headed woman...she looked way sexy...oh well...just my opinion.

  • Agreed, in Libeled Lady I would take her over just about any "hot" current "actress".

  • I don't think she was all that pretty. all that make-up. yuck.

  • I feel the same way about Marilyn Monroe. She was a freakin' clown face!

  • marilyn monroe WAS NOT A CLOWN FACE!

  • YES SHE WAS!

  • why was she?!!! tell me! lets just say she has no bloomin eye brows!!! marilyn monroe was WAYYYYYY more beauitful then her and any other women!!

  • ha! w.e okay. they were all beautiful! but monroe was not a clown face! why do you think that. she was amazingly beatiful women inside and out. and an amazing actress.!!!

  • She wore a lot makeup;she caked it on! I know you're fan,but please stop lying to yourself.

  • Gorgeous! We went to Hollywood last month...and I will never forget it. Never. My husband and I went to Forest Lawn where she is resting, I walked up to the little chapel where her service was held..and well let me just say that it was surreal, wonderful, and peaceful. I just imagined all of the stars there that day when she was laid to rest. But the best part was going into the Grand Masoleum and visiting HER. I spoke a few words to her and cried. : )

  • please post the whole movie

  • The movie is great.

  • do you know where i can see this without buying it?

  • get it from a torrents site!:)

  • I think one of the reasons shes so legendary is the fact that she was'nt so pretty, her beauty was attainable any one with a little peroxide and attitude could dream about being her.

  • She wasn't the prettiest, but she had the feminine charm and a distinct look and appeal. No wonder she became a legend.

  • the music goes great with the montage. nice job.

  • ...that's right....perfectly well!! Has something very sad in here...

  • can you post th ewhole movie

  • she drew in her eyebrows.Thats all, no plastic surgery....LOL.

  • Wow, she's like a platinum Mata Hari. (in fact I wouldn't be surprised if that were one of her idols. She'd have done better than Greta Garbo in the 1931 movie)

  • I haven't seen Hell's Angels yet, but I must say Jean Harlow, well the young Jean Harlow looks really, really different, did she have some kind of cosmetic surgery post 1930?

    Yours,

    julianallees

    29th May, 2008 6:34pm

  • I don't think Jean had any surgery. Marilyn Monroe did have plastic surgery, though. I think MM had a chin implant and a nose job.

  • @mielr Plastic cosmetic surgery was not available in 1930s'.

  • @mielr True.

  • Also, Jean's eyebrows were MUCH skinner after this film.

  • @mielr In the 1930s' thinner the eyebrow was the latest look.

  • She looked much better with her original eyebrows. The make-up artists really did a number on her.

  • whats the music?

  • The music is "nightmare" by artie shaw.

  • ...and it's great, isn't it?

  • God, I wish the real movie had been edited to include only Jean's scenes. Hell's Angels is one of the worst films ever but because of Jean, I watch it all the time. She was SO absurdly beautiful. Especially in that last scene where she blows up at her boyfriend. I feel like grabbing her and kissing those perfect lips of hers. And I'm a pretty straight girl!

  • i never seen "Hell's Angels" How long is it!!

  • Great Jean

  • Howard Hughes!!!!! Great man

  • That was Marilyn Monroe's girl.

  • "Marilyn Monroe's girl"?

  • I read somewhere that Marilyn was a big fan of hers and that she would have people take her to she Jean's movies as a young girl. Marilyn also saw many similarities between her and Jean's life, and also there's the fact that they both died young and were Hollywood blond-bombshells. Saying she was MM's girl was my short way of saying all that I said in this comment.

  • mmm, i read that as monroe became more famous, she hired the hairdresser who used to dye harlow's hair blonde, although the woman was very old by marilyn's time

  • the song is Nightmare by artie shaw

  • What song is this? Does anyone know?

  • she reminded of Marilyn Monroe...

  • and you're the moron of the century (for saying that)

  • Wait, isn't he a guy?

  • ...or even Neve Campbell!

  • Oh no, Marilyn was infinitely prettier than Jean Harlow and Marilyn was much taller.Jean Harlow was very tiny, her height was 1,57 m.

    Marilyn height was 5' 5'' 1/2 (1,66 m)

  • Yeah, but at least Jean could act........

  • this music sounds like the bond theme in the background can anyone else hear it?

  • does she ever sing!!!????

  • She was a great actress, I love her. Its such a shame she died so young. P.S. She looked so beautiful with her natural eye brows in this movie!

  • Oh I so love this film! She is the best!! Thank you.

  • i want the hell's angel theme so bad!!!

  • You should have added the 2-color technicolor sequences with Jean Harlow.

  • no kidding that was the only color film shot of Harlow, Color would have been used more and sooner had the depression not nearly destroyed this country...

  • Jean Harlot? (If you saw the film you'd get the joke)

  • Love this film!

Her best (apart from Dinner At Eight)film

  • Great clip-thanks for posting! Love Jean!!!

  • Too bad she had to die so young.

  • Very nicely done!
