Obama is falling prey to the Washington group-think that says the American people will only accept center-right policy. But, the reason he is losing support among independants and liberals is because he isn't being radical enough. People voted for change. real change. they voted for health care reform including a public option. they voted for reform and openness of gov't. they voted to END the wars, close gitmo. most importantly they voted to cut off wall st. from the pulic teet.
No, the Democrats aren't trying. They started from a compromised position both with health care and with the stimulus. Instead, they should have started with a liberal bill and made the Republicans fight for their compromise.
Further, Dems whined about not having 60 votes. Then when they got 60 votes, they whined about Ben Nelson and Joe Lieberman. The Republicans haven't had 60 votes since 1923 and have been completely capable of getting their legislation passed.
The GOP has always been better at using fear, hatred and anger to create support for their policies. And the GOP has always been better at getting all Republicans in lockstep. Democrats seem more independent-minded by nature and so are less willing to let their party to think for them... which makes for unified action to be more difficult.
And this is the same lamocrats that took impeachment off the table, shame.
fuck the left/right paradigm, it's all false and phony.

2:00, what do you do? just give the same amount of money to the people instead of the banks: i.e. classic Keynesianism.
