Mrs lovett told todd that his wife had taken a poison, making it look as if she had alreasy died. when todd realises that she didnt die he is very very and angry and throws Mrs lovett into the fire and closes the door. she loved him till the end. she didnt tell him the truth as she wanted to marry him because she loved him and because she knew he was fickle and didnt want to be at his mercy if he found out.

@LuffysPirateQueen In the historic story of Sweeney Todd, Sweeney and Lovett (or Lovat, as it's been spelled) actually have a very sexual relationship, which is kinda gross because they were NOT good looking like they are in this movie. They eventually got caught by church goers at St. Dunstan's because the smell of the bones was getting unbearable. In prison awaiting their trial, Mrs. Lovett did take arsenic, brought by a guard. Sweeney was hung on a scaffold in Fleet Street. He killed over 160

well Mrs.Lovett lies to sweeney and tells him that his wife the beggar woman of the movie is dead when shes not and then she knows who johanna is as well and she lies about that too....

then when he kills his wife without knowing .. and then mrs.lovett is trying to burn her then Mrs. Lovett moves And sweeney sees Nancy and then realize and all the setting the start dancing and he throws her in the oven and she burns then toby mrs. lovett almost kid kills mr. todd
