When i was 15 or possibly 16 i cried listening to this when i was alone and felt i had nothing or no-one. I was in 'Foster Care' and going through a really hard time. This along with a couple other of U2's gems mainly 'Acrobat' Helped me let my emotions out. I'm ok now but at my lowest these song's helped allot.

I also think Achtung Baby is their best. I never was a fan (although I like U2 very much). But they lost something after this album... some soul... some heart... they never put out songs like Ultraviolet, Acrobat and Love is Blindness... and I doubt they can do it again.

But they will always be in my memory with Achtung Baby and I can only hope that these rock genre giants will do this again! We're amazingly bored of Gaga and Jay-z&Beyonce, we need true talent to make a (serious) comeback...

Achtung Baby was the first U2 album I ever bought (it was in cassette then--the year 1991!). I love all the songs that I memorised the lyrics of every one of them. AB will remain my favourite U2 album of all time. I think their succeeding albums, Zooropa and Pop, were a let down though.

Can anyone think of a better album that Achtung Baby!? Edge said in an interview back then that U2's best work was not behind them but ahead of them. I think it was premonitory and he knew it was going to be hard to get any better than: Zoo Station EBTTRT One (!) UTEOTW WGRYWH So Cruel (!) The Fly MysWays (sexiest song ever) TTTYAATW (...like a fish needs a bicycle!) UV (!) Acrobat (the best) LIB I love what they've done after -even POP I think is brilliant but nothing can top Achtung Baby!
