The attack on other Africans was wrong and should be condemned and the overwhelming majority of South Afrikans did. This happens throughout Afrika. South Afrika has opened her borders young as she is. I lived in many Afrikan countries as an exile from South Afrika. Yes, we faced hostility and violence. We lived separately from the people of those countries. South Afrika does her best and does a better than many Afrikan countires especially that the economic pie is small even for her people!
Gog bless African...I don't really know Africans went through a lot until my dad showed me this movie..I'm an African(Nigerian) God will save us Africans and build a perfect peace and unity for us
@demiselena194 and then you will be in the same situation as Zimbabwe you stupid fuck !!!! you have had freedom for the last 17 years, and you have done NOTHING bit destroy what was once a beautiful country !! You will be crying for the rest of the world to bail your very sad arse's out .. soon, and very soon ....lol .. IDIOT !!!!
This is a powerful movie. Leleti Khumalo is a very good actress. I was trying to access the movie titled "Yesterday" but am not able to find it. Let us as black people not forget where we are coming from.
@SweetAdvice I saw the trailer for the movie and from the looks of it I agree. Its a sad movie. I tell you. Black people have undergone so much pain and anguish that it has left a permanent scar on our mental and social development. Personally, I don't harbour hate for any race in particular, but I believe we should be allowed to control our own affairs.
This is one movie I never get tired of watching. I've watched it five times already and yet anytime I see portions of it i feel a strong urge to see the whole thing again. It's powerful!!! I live South Africa!
this movie is always new for me. It happens to be the coolest thing i know about South Africa, incase someone asked me. By the way, does anybody know where i can download free mp3s of these cool songs? Plz help
sharks the 1st time i saw this movie was when i was around 5 and i only remembered the prayer part...but i just watched the whole thing last week......and i cried like a sooky........im 20 yearz now this movie is so sad its a mix of emotions really.......jah bless yall
Lead singer:Leleti Khumalo. Go to any reputable music store and ask them to order the soundtrack or the movie. Love this movie. That's my neighbourhood and I went to school with some of the actors only I was not as talented.
@audayann leleti Khumalo...she is now an actress in another south african soap titiled Generations....:)....her voice is changed...donno if she still sings...:)
@joshua629 do you live in the US ??? if yes , i can tell you how i got mine or try if i can make a copy for you. i'm reserving this video for my children and the subsequent generation. i love everything about the movie. it is real and its a true life story.
@ada4all I am looking for the extended version of this song "Freedom Is Coming Tomorrow" from the Soundtrack. The movie cuts it short, but the movie soundtrack has the extended version. Also, I am looking for one of the songs "Lizobuya" from the soundtrack that was used for the documentary "Amandla" in the beginning. Amandla is a great documentary about the musicians who were killed during apartheid and their struggles.
As coal miners in Scotland in the 1970's we sponsored people to go out an work in the coal mines in SA. To "Organise and Educate" our brothers in the coal mines in SA. I love this film and "Freedom is Coming Tomorrow".
now i miss primary school days.....lol every girl wanted to sing and dance like. my fellow south africans you know what im talking abt esp us,the ones who went to township schools (**;)
love this movie the best! My mom was the first to show me when i was like 8 and she had the soundtrack i used to play it over and over! i know the songs:)
I just wish we cud all get along well in SA and Africans all become as one. This movie was screened all over Africa bcoz other African & worldwide countries contributed to the end of apartheid. And Saffas r humiliated of the zenophobia there - we've a terrible minority of ignorant Saffas. Freedom is coming tomorrow!!
Leleti Khumalo acts as Don Cheadle's wife's sister-law, the one who goes missing along with her husband but whose kids Don Cheadle's wife spends the whole movie looking for, and finds at the end. Leleti is only in the movie in the first 30mins or so
Don Cheadle's wife in Hotel Rwanda is Sophie Okonedo, She is a half Nigerian and half Jew.
I am thinking that Leleti Khumalo in Hotel Rwanda is the woman that say's (do not worry he is not hurt, It's not his blood) when Rogers was found covered with blood
You will love it! I have lost count on how many times I watched it. The story is touching...and the music, the dance is, well, you will find out soon if not already.
i watched this musical and for the first time after 1987 when i watched one apartheid movie, i cried again. I never had any reason to like a so called "white" but i did still...I love every humans except the savage animals (the racists)

really touching what Africans went through during apartheid.... Just wish South Africa would teach its people that a brother is a brother no matter where he is from, just because someone speaks a different language from you doesnt mean they are animals. Lack of education really pulls back such a beautiful country, so sad....God bless Africa.

I speak french and I want to share the movie with my friends and i've searched so many times to find the DVD also in FRENCh ... NO WAY !
I finally bought it in English but I really get mad coz they cut where Sabela burns
It's not that I like this but my favorite song is when after doing this they all are on buses singing
So Where Can I least find the Whole DVD even in English but the WHOLE one !

Same thing happened to me. Seems the new version excludes that section which was my favourite. Let me know if you find the full version.
