What is fs9, are you serious? do you live under a rock or something?. FS9 (microsoft flight simulator 2004) is perhaps one of the great turning points in the production the Microsoft FS series from the ACES team. It fetures a very stable and easy simulator with later generation graphics. The simulator can achieve a solid 20 fps on any modern (2005+) PC. I personaly enjoy it over fsx because it has never crashed for my setup.

It is hard to find a hard copy these days as the dont make t

  • Amazing :) *****

  • How did you get rid of the blocks on the ends of the runways?

  • Can you tell me the procedure of recording clip, because when i try to Play a clip and record it by FRAPS the replays is funny. It doesnt have any flaps extended and the plane moves as if it is on auto pilot but when you see at panel it is disengaged

  • @OnkelAchmet92 Yup, the slats retract on touchdown to dump lift from the "primary lifting surfaces of the wing" and also to "improve the structural life of the leading edge devices."

Quotes taken from the PMDG 747 manual.

  • looks very nice :). manual or autolanding? and what do you use for the edit, and views? :)

  • There is no autoland at Kai Tak my friend! This was flown by hand. I use Sony Vegas Pro 8 to edit and DBS Walk and Follow for the views! :)

  • oh okay. i mean there is for the other runway.. btw.. cool video :).

  • @guy014 LOL if autoland would have been an option at Kai Tak, it wouldn't be so fun :)

  • stupid question.. how did you make that? flight sim game? 3dsmax?

  • I just cant do this approach :( it takes practice and good skill!! Nice landing

  • You gotta know when to turn. Remember to follow the lead in lights and just keep the plane on the glide slope. :)

It's Fly Tampa's Kai Tak scenery.

  • are you using enbseries for fs? the bloom doesn't lookas though its from vegas.

  • Nope, but I've tried it before. All editing was done in Vegas.

  • i was playin fsx so thts y i didnt reply

  • dude i sub....i love ur videos...pls continue....ur awesome...do some voice over videos...like the cessna154 channel

  • so y is the same site come up at the end the caffienated man thing....

  • I just liked featuring it. :)

  • oh...lol...u r awesome though

  • what is fs9? isnt it fsx or?

  • FS9 is the the version before FSX.

  • do u think you can do a tut on how to make fs vids look like that?

  • Maybe, I'll see what I can do. To tell you the truth, I taught myself how to use Vegas, just load it up each time you film a new clip and play around with it. You'll discover new aspects of it... Just like in Photoshop, we just open it to crop out a picture and put in a nice effect but that's only scratching the surface of what it can do.

  • All editing was done in Sony Vegas. :)

  • how do you get the wing view on the pmdg 747 in fs9 (I can't figure it out)

  • I used DBS Walk and Follow. I used the Follow mode and positioned the camera so that it looks at the wing.

  • I see that you used the bloom mod!

  • Nope, all editing was done in Sony Vegas. ;)

  • i use this program aswell but when i go to look at the wing its not there any ideas or suggestions

  • I use the Follow mode and I position the camera so that it faces the wing.

  • how did you get the vingview for pmdg

  • I use the DBS Walk & Follow camera addon.

  • you have the best graphics i have ever seen

  • Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it.

  • your graphics look sooo realistic!

  • Thanks!

  • btw whats the pc specs? the one you played this on?

  • The specs are on my channel. I waiting for new gaming computer parts to ship this week and the next.

  • even with that "lame" system, it looks amazing!

    Great video!

  • Haha, yeah! Can't wait to try out my new system and FSX as well. ;)

  • DUUUDE!! are you f*ckin serious!! this is fs2004!! omfg! this looks 10 times better than fsx!

oh and thanks for the freind invite btw :)

  • Yeah, this is FS9. I especially ike the fact that I can get decent FPS even with all the addons listed in the video description. No prob for the invite, enjoy my videos! :)

  • yeah true, but i got the fly tampa hong kongkai-tak scenery, and when i fly around it with a cessna, i get around 10fps :(. is that what you get?

  • One of the best I have seen.

  • Thank you very much.

  • Wow was sos so nice. The approach, the landing the video, all was great. Brilliant job man

  • Thanks a lot! Stay tuned for more. :)

  • Amazing! =D what are your computer specifications? btw: make more!

  • Thanks! My specs are on my channel. I'm waiting for my new parts to ship. I'll be building a brand new gaming computer.

  • Nice! Can i have your old computer? haha

  • Already found use for it. ;)

It's not worth anything, it probably sells for 200-300 $. Yours is better, I'll bet.

  • Oh yeah! you mean my crappy 1g of Ram laptop? mhmm haha. I get like a max of 20 frames playing fsx on low graphics, do you use that computer to make the videos you have now?

  • It's not that bad. My current setup can't run FSX at more than 5 fps. The demo that is, never went beyond that. Yes, I make my videos on this computer.

  • haha oh, so you make your videos with f2004.....your graphics look amazing though! =] Oh, whats the sony vegas effect to shake it?

  • I use New Blue Motion Effects for Sony Vegas.

  • do you use any other effect, like the color, cause that kinda looks different.

  • Yup, I used many of Sony Vegas' default as well as other video effects.

  • Cool, it looks great(especially with the add-on scenery). Omg! I just installed FSX and you know how you move around with the spacebar and the mouse? It doesn't work =[

  • I liked it!

  • Thank you very much!

  • How did you add the approach to the FMC?

  • Very carefully. Just kidding. :P

I took the approach chart from the PDF file the scenery installed and plugged in the route.

  • Since you did that you have so good textures and that they are seen so well wherefrom of you them came out man?

  • Thanks! I used the Fly Tampa Kai Tak scenery, that's why the textures are so good. ;)

  • just beautiful!

  • Thanks!

  • Thank you! I use a technique that involves slowing down the sim rate and speeding it up in the editor. The frame rate loss is then seamless.

  • What a great production technique. I am going to try this myself. Cheers for sharing your knowledge :)

  • You are very welcome! :)

    Have fun making those videos!

  • dude this one was completly GREAT, i really think you are better pilot than steven(cessna154) he is abusing of the documental videos, the bad weather and fails in aircrafts maybe you can talk to him about it pleeeease

  • Thanks for the comment! I appreciate the compliment. :)

Cessna154 does his own thing, I'm just glad I can showcase a different perspective of FS. Contact Steve yourself through the website, use the Contact Us form and tell him how you feel. :)

  • Also how do you get views like that ?

And in other videos I saw that you made the camera shake while in cockpit view.. How do you do that?

I know this is a lot of questions but if you help me I will refer you to lots of people

Even if you don't i'll still tell people to check out your channel :)

  • I use DBS Walk & Follow I also use an effect called New Blue to get that shaky camera motion. I'm glad answering all of your questions and would love the referrals! Thanks for watching! :)

  • Thanks :P

Is new blue in Vegas or is it an addon

  • Ok, I googled all of your addons and i've got them now.

In Sony Vegas, do you add more saturation to add that really nice effect?

By the way, can you help me with one thing in FS2004

I can run it with everything ultra high (YAY!) But when I'm using Spot view, the plane's paint job looks horrible (All pixel-y and just not nice.. )

How do I fix that? I had that problem in FSX and using Direct X 10 solved it

  • Thanks for your comment! I use a number of effects, whatever looks nice on your screen is great, don't try and copy my technique 100% because it may not look good on your recordings. Settle for what YOU think looks nice.

You may have to update your video card's drivers. What is the card anways?

  • Which effect did you use.

  • About 10 different ones. :P All in Sony Vegas.

  • I know, but I mean the colour of the video [looks little bit old or so]. Which effect is that, if you know what I mean.

  • That's the thing, I used a set of color effects. I'll name them out for ya: color corrector, bump map, glow, brightness & contrast, New Blue dream glow, NB duo chrome, NB sepia. I also used NB active camera to create the shaky camera effect.

I said this already, though: don't copy these exact effects because they may not look good on your FS clip. It's all about trail and error and finding what works best for you. :)

  • Thank's for the info.

  • Wel done, great video!!!

  • Thanks, mate!
