@bond284 Ya Genius, Money is Infinite... No wonder we have this debt problem we have idiots who think "just print more money" is a Economic Solution. They also think Generational Welfare has worked.
@Papawill13 Reading comprehension isn't your forte. Listen "genius", I never said anything about printing money, but you're a little slow so I'll let that slide. You blindly accuse me of being a proponent of damaging policies like quantitative easing (printing money) but you casually avoid my question...which is as follows:
what kind of investor or businessman would shy away from a profit if taxes change by a few percent? This video is just trying to demonize tax increases on the wealthy.
I mean she is not stupid. She can clearly see what is wrong with redistribution and all. The problem is that she has been brainwashed with all the "the rich are evil and don't deserve their money" propaganda.
That is hilarious! She makes the conservative argument so well but fails to grasp the similarities! And this young woman is allowed to vote. Scary. Universities all over the US are turning out mindless liberal drones. I personally respect any point of view that's well thought out and arrived at by reflection, but I despise those who parrot back ideas placed in their heads.
WOW!!! It is absolutely incredible how she simply could not see -- or is that WOULD not see -- how each and every point she made against GPA redistribution equally applies to the argument against the redistribution of wealth. (And I say this as a disabled person who relies on government assistance.) That's amazing! Well done, oliverdrcy.
WOW!!! It is incredible how she simply could not see -- or is that would not see -- that each every point she made equally applies to those who object to the redistribution of wealth! (And I say this as a disabled person who relies on government assistance.)
see what our school dollars are doing, she is so dumb she cant even see how stupid her answers are and how she even makes the case on how wrong it is take something away from some one that has worked hard for what they got they act like the rich just got that way with no effort. some do, but most work harder than she did for her grades
I love this - - - this is EXACTLY what redistributing the wealth is all about. -- - you only need a 2.0 to pass . . . so anything above it, you dont need. .its gravy. - -so give yoru score to those at the bottom.
suddenly it feels like you're being robbed, right? - -EXACTLY.
This is also great proof that our educational system doesn't work. There is something seriously wrong with our college's if this girl has a 4.0. She is dumber than a brick.
The most disappointing thing about these street interviews is the quality of people at the college. Only the guy in the glasses seemed to be intelligent. This girl here is on film... yet feels profanity is the way to go. Ugh.
Wow. This guy is an idiot. Giving a person who isn't as bright a higher GPA so s/he can get a better job is very different from giving money to the poor. In the case of GPA we will have inept individuals attempting to perform high level tasks for which they are not qualified. In the case of wealth distribution it is a means of facilitating individuals and families with decent lives.
@Szeicheng Redistribution from the people who worked hard to attain something is the same no matter what reward is redistributed, whether it be cash or points. What all the interviewees fail to mention is that the cash of the wealthy is earned at the expense of the sweat of many, many others. However, the business man still performs work by increasing efficiency, and eliminating a percent of the labor of workers... thereby eliminating work as if he had done it himself.
@TheNudistPianist i call bullshit on your statement. GPA matters to get into grad school, which will affect on your employment. Besides, it is the principle that matters. You oppose redistribution of GPA, but redistribution of wealth is somehow okay? Double standard...
she's trying to keep up with someone that's trying to make her look stupid and post it on the internet, oh she doesn't know that going into it either, she's just confused because someone's getting in her face with a camera and asking her a stupid question
So if the real world is like college, GPA=income. Employees of a corporation should also be able to achieve the exact same income as the CEO who has a maximum limit on his income. An impartial third party, not the CEO or executives, will judge who is putting in the necessary work to achieve that pay level. Also the majority should be making at least half or more of what the Highest income level is. If those are true then this analogy is sound.
@TaborDL In most corporations, the Board of Directors determine the salary of the CEO and upper management. The Board of Directors are elected by the shareholders.
@mikemat3307 That's beside my point, which may have been poorly illustrated. It was basically that it's not possible for every employee to achieve simultaneously the same pay level as the CEO. It devalues the position and it devalues the currency. While at a college it's potentially possible for everyone to simultaneously achieve the same GPA as the Valedictorian, without a loss of value to the grade. They don't work the same and it's a poor analogy.
@TaborDL Devalues the currency? How? Currency devaluation is caused by an expansion in the money supply, also known as "monetary inflation". Monetary inflation leads to price inflation which leads to wage inflation. However, real wages NEVER keep pace with real inflation. The central bank is responsible for inflating the currency. Inflation is defined as "too many dollars chasing too few goods and services". I suggest reading "An Inflation Primer" by Melcoir Palyi. Available for free download.
@TaborDL You need to realize that monetary inflation is solely responsible for a redistribution of wealth from the poor and Middle Class to the wealthy. We need to end the reckless printing of money. As new money is created, it ultimately ends up in the hands of the wealthy and the large corporations, since they are the largest debtors in society. They get the benefit of new money with the same purchasing power of "old" money. (cont)
@TaborDL By the time the new money works its way down to the lower classes, price inflation has occurred, and we get stuck with devalued dollars. Monetary inflation is the most evil thing created by Man. Unfortunately most average people do not understand this simple concept.
@TaborDL -- And that's what happens. The smart corporation will promote those who are more productive. If someone isn't paid what he can produce, he's free to start his own company and outcompete the unfair one.
@Gondring Yes we're each free to start our company, but we can't all succeed and be rich regardless of productivity. If everyone were rich we'd all be equal (perish the thought). So you have everyone competing for shared resources to be at the top. The more some have the less others can have. In college you are judged of your own individual merit and it's possible for everyone to achieve a high GPA without having to compete for others points. The two are unalike and it's a bad analogy.
Wow, she isn't even bright enough to see her defense is the same as the rich. She's in hyper defensive mode to protect HER stuff. She's unable to have a discussion. She'd be on the receiving end of the redistribution I'm sure.
The inability of liberals to think logically on display.

This is fucking stupid... GPA has a cap, money does not. What kind of investor will shy away from a profit, regardless of tax? No one can answer that.
Instead, they use a false parallel. GJ retards.
