Sometimes it depends on taste what you are going to hear out of a box with so many knobs. Different dude/guitar/non-metalhead (pretty much EVERYTHING can do metal sounds but almost nothing can produce clean and bluesy/fusiony overdriven sounds or at least few people on Youtube will use gear for anything but metal).

I demo'd this pedal and it sucks. Its got no bass and sounds dry. You'd never know a tube was in there. The V twin kills this thing. Its engineered better to provide a true amp tone but, the kiddies think it sucks because it doesnt provide the compressed gain

I didn't know nuno used a tubeman on their "waiting for a punchline" album. I knew back then Nuno was into using Hughes and Kettner triamps. That's good to know. I just recently bought the tube factor and love it. The next one I want to get is the tube replex.

Its a really great preamp.

I use this live in combination with a Tech 21 Power Engine 60 which is an active solidstate box especially designed for preamps or modelers.

Its REALLY great and I don`t have to think about microphoning or tweaking the sound, EVERY setting sounds good, there are no "mismatching" setting it all depends on your own favour.

Yeah engineering and craftmanship from my country Germany ;-)

This pedal/preamp sucks, its got no bottom tone and sounds flat. The tube doesnt do shit for giving it a warm break up. It sounds cold and sterile but it doesnt have a lot of treble gain if your into the hot rodded marshall tone. You aint getting the boogie sound here though

@hovadopekelne I doesnt sound liek a tube amp. Sounds like a pedal and for 425 bucks retail thats a rippoff. Its got no bass tone to it and sound dry

@sharkster1969 you're right! 3rd channel compresses a lot, But it's a killer for brutal riffing and solos!
