One of my favorite songs EVER...thank you, Tracy, for addressing domestic abuse. Just sucks that media only reports it after someone dies or gets a court date...HEy, reporters, how about this: REPORT THIS SHIT right after it happened and put it on the news...and maybe give some hope to the thousands/millions of women (mainly women) that this happens to...

yeah. mine too; he actually was beating me to make me leave, as the police told me. he doesn't love you so take your bag and go. so, here i am three years later, living on the street because i can't make my disability check stretch to include indoor accomodations. that's why i stayed, for the roof and walls and indoor plumbing. i can't make it on my own. if not for a male person who kindly donates his time to make people who hate homeless disabled black women don't harass me i'd be dead

@hazieify Yes. I actually got to the point of thinking to stay was the best way to protect my kids, until he came after one of them. Not the brightest on the block but fear can cloud so much....

@elvenshepherd .well, at least we can try and laugh now you are out of it. I let him back into my bed and wallet, and he was stringing me along with another woman. It took so much courage in the end to say no- abuse is awful in that it destroys your self worth - you over sacrifice for a love not even worth it. I stand with you in leaving. Well Done, and Thank You - on behalf of your kids and other women in this situation for taking a stand- it means so much. Abuse must stop.
