  • Irma is playing a free concert in Toronto, Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Harbourfront. What a stunning talent.

  • I've said this before but it bears repeating. Irma Thomas is one of our true treasures here in New Orleans. She's a genuine and wonderful woman. A true talent who represents everything great our city still has to offer since Katrina nearly blew us away!

  • @Nobra200 Bonjour ami are you from Louisiana too? salutations de Lafayette.

  • Tracy Nelson--who idolized Irma, of course--also does a great version of this tune. It's on her eponymous solo album from 1974. I wish they would have done it as a duet back when they were touring with Marcia Ball a decade back. Would have made for a real showstopper.

  • I had never heard this song before. It is INCREDIBLE! Thank you -

  • If you ever get a chance to see her do this live you will love her even more... as I do. We had her at our local street festival one year and I was working backstage with her band on some problems but really enjoyed this song. After wards I told her AND her husband how much we all enjoyed the show and I feel they were genuine in their show and it's quality.

  • wonderfull!!

  • Anybody wouldn't happen to have a good source for this songs guitar chords would they? It would be greatly appreciated thanks!
