It's funny seeing all these comments about Gavin's voice breaking and him not being able to hit certain notes. This is professional recording. You really think that if his voice broke by accident, that they'd let it slip by? He did it on purpose. That's part of what makes Gavin Gavin. This cover is full of Gavin's unique stylistic choices. Some people will like it, some wont. But nothing he does is by accident, lol. He knows what he's doing. I like Freddie's version more, but Gavin sounds great.

arrangement is atrocious. i appreciate the bluesy approach but don't see the point: blues can go for the gut wrenching pain in lyrics but song swerves (operatically! like "drunk", glorious liza who freddied adored!) to a rallying chorus to uplift...so what does blues do with that? no transition of emotional gears, nor does it subvert it (if you see queen as false, melodramatic platitudes)...pointless except for session pay

This is so awesome. I was a huge Queen fan in the late 70's and 80's. Freddie Mercury really spoke to my heart. I love this version as I am not into the Queen thing anymore really, I'm actually a hardcore DMB fan, haha Anyway Gavin has the soul of the motown and stax artists. At his young age it is amazing. This is fuckin' good, and i'm a huge Queen fan. When the guitar came in at the 'bad mistakes" part, there was this weird sounding slide, and it made me wish the guitar stayed weird throughout the song. The Brian May imitation with the tone and everything was the only thing I would change. Awesome band, playing rootsy and all. Playing that slow and lazy with some weirdo guitar would have been the shit!!!!!!
