@jaydenim007 Also, Okinawan and Ainu are seperate languages. Ainu is an isolated language and Okinawan has a S + O + V word order like Korean and like Japanese, but recently Japanese has been taken out of the Altaic language family and has been catagorized in the Japonic language family along with Ryukyun or Okinawan. Both Korea and Japan got their Hanzi from China through the influence of Buddhist scriptures and sutras. They came from the Han Chinese. I will give you that Japanese people
@needmanshini are indeed mixed with Korean blood. That can be proven through anthropology and history. Hanja/Kanji/Hanzi however, is all drived from Buddhist Chinese scholars working with each country to spread Buddhism/Confucuianism.
@jaydenim007 The Japanese term "kanji" means "Han charaters" and is based on the character writing system of the Han Chinese. It may have come from Korea but it did not originate there.
@7seven0fnine9 He is typical example of Korean who obsessed inflated sense of self importance.
Their words are filled with fraud,especially about Japanese.Those type Korean always intend to dirty Japanese culture,history,people,anything.Don't believe Korean words about Japanese and themselves.
Considering this series is actually based off an manga, I'm suprised at the different angle they took. Japan is not used to continual exposure of foreigners in their daily lives and it high lights these points. Also, I think the characters acted in a sterotypical manner so they can be more identifiable. It is progress at least. At least none of the foreigners speak in katakana or are overtly sterotypical. And I think it was more or less having 和 when you do things.
@needmanshini The sensei obviously has these social hangups against foreigners too, but I do not think it is Tom (or was it Bob) was lazy, that he couldn't get along with his Japanese boss. He is working hard, but isn't doing things right. I think it was overall frustration. Most people here are labeling the producers racist when I would say they are more ignorant. At least they show foreigners speaking Japanese on a functional level and getting priority seating at a empty sushi-ya.
@needmanshini Honestly, in real life a boss like the one in this show is highly probable in Japan. However, I think they should of not made some of the scenes overtly sterotypical.
I like how that guy is African and they make him look like he's from Friday After Next
I really tried to like this and I'm usually good at not having bias. There are funny moments, but some things make me a little offended. Whenever Japanese shows stereotype something, they REALLY stereotype it. Not that everything else doesn't do it too, but Japan is just....using them so frequently.
@AnimeGenderBender Maybe the one who thinks it's spelled "nihongga (two gs and an 'a' apparentely) is the "aho", and not the one who learned it in a year, ^^; if you think it's hard, learn it by music like I did....=]
Extremely offensive. We are supposed to sympathise with such a horrible, ignorant, presumptuous, selfish young woman. And we are supposed to accept this false reality where the source of Japan's problems are the gaijin. Get over yourself Japan.
@esw9999 Nah. I get why it is supposed to funny. But it just isn't. The gaijin characters exist not as real people, but just to provide the unlikeable protagonist with emotional and cultural challenges to overcome so we can see her develop. I'm not interested in her journey of discovery. She is quite despicable.
Hmm - so foreigners seat on priority seating and don't know how to use knife or wash a bowl but one day of Japanese class room fixes that? I found it very offensive. Also on my last trip to Japan in 2010 I saw a lot more high school kids sitting on priority seating and just about zero "Gaijin" I lived 8 years in Japan up to 2000 but this tells me things haven't changed match in ignorance side.
Yea, this video focuses on many Japanese stereotypes of black people, Russians and Chinese, which I also found quite offensive. But then again, the audience is Jp.
@Reikko8 Maybe so, but they're still conveying these (racist) stereotypes to the masses via the television. =/
It's even easier to convince people with your point of view when you're making them laugh at the same time, and slowly but surely, these false ideas keep being alive.
on watching the whole video, holy shit this is racist 超人種差別これ!

BAD EXAMPLES... Japanese did changed some Chinese characters, but the meaning of 鮪 河豚 and 鮭 is exactly as same as the Chinese meaning.

tattivalenti90 3 weeks ago
