@jpsned I don't think the final verse is published in any of the songbooks (at least none that I could find). My voice teacher found the verse in a book of Noel Coward lyrics.
@rachrobinson If I were to perform it, I would be careful as to whether I sung the last verse. It's kind of cruel in a way, whereas the other verses are more light-hearted. You know?
Excellent performance! I've only heard this song mentioned twice: Angela Lansbury once sang it as a young lady as well and when I asked another British actress, Caroline Munro, if she would want either of her daughters to be an actress and, unknown to me at the time, she quoted the title. I guess it's a catch phrase "across the pond" and an inside joke among stage actors here. Excellent song by Noel Coward and BRAVO!! Ms. Robinson!
I'm learning this song and my book doesn't have the final verse! I'll have to look into it.
