  • I'll say only 5 words:this guitar player is fantastic!!!!!!!!

  • MY fingers have bled, but...not from playing guitar. Has something to do with my fingers, and my nostrils. LOL I've been playing for about 10 months now. I'll be 66 this month (Nov. 11, 2010), and the kind of work I did must have toughened up my fingers, turning wrenches and screwdrivers most of my life. Great vid, good teaching method. Thanks a gazillion. LD)

  • Easy and great song :)

    good job

  • u suk

  • great.... thank you dude :D

  • Professional!

  • I like your video~~~ But if you sing alone..i bet you'll be liked. You got a good voice. I still have some problem on the intro =(

  • i like this video, i like the way you make it easyer by saying what strings to play on each fret i just learning to do the first part. gotten sore fingers from trying different songs lol but ill get their in the end :) ill subscribe :) by the way do your fingers go harder so they dont hurt as much haha just wondering and thanks for this video great help (Y)

  • @wkd0 Yes you're finger tips do get hard and it stops hurting, but only with more practise. Oh yeah, I have yet to come across a guitarist that hasn't played til their fingers bled. No doubt now that I've put this up someone on YT will prove me wrong. LOL!

  • @scoby1knoby ahh thats good news then haha :D the only song i can play quite good is money for nothing maybe you could make a vid of that sounds good on electric, i need to find more songs :P lol

  • @scoby1knoby sorry not trying to annoy you lol.... mine actually havnt bled... but mine have just started going hard.. so im reckoning that they will soon tehe.. :D

  • @mikelong1994 lol mine just starting to go hard i think they getting like lil blister things on where the skin comes off lol :D dont hurt as much now also tapping on tables is ment to be good :)

  • @scoby1knoby great video m8 very clear the way you do this on here keep up good work,i'm trying to learn this song, best so far on here ,and best for showing strumming pattern.great job m8

  • @wkd0 he is good i like his video its very esy to teach from him hes the best iv ever seen LIKE (H)

  • @MrAidi01 me 2 i like the way he says what tabs and cords to play also i just starting to learn final count down would be good if he can show us that its got a nice solo part near the begining in some videos of people playing its 12secs in to it but they dont tell u how :(

  • @wkd0 If you bought a fairly cheap guitar then the chances are it has never been set up properly, what is known as the action, the distanc e from tyhe strings to the frets. The shops don't usually bother! This is very important on a steel stringed acoustic guitar because the strings are very stiff. There are loads of videos on YouTube showing you how to do it. There is a truss rod in the neck that you adjust.

  • can you please tell me your strumming pattern?

  • whats strumming pattern?

  • nice guitar great sound

  • is the first chord and A or E???

  • I'm from denmark and got confused too. Obviously the first chord is an A but the way you prenounce it makes it sound like an E :) (or maybe it's just me)

    Great lesson ... :)

    Thanks alot. Søren

  • Thanks there mate, learnt it quickly.

    Please ignore F*****T replies.

  • @TheJSnap E Chord is from your 6th sting (the thickest one) 022100

  • GREAT PLAYIN!!! THANKS :)

  • Enjoyed that, thanks pal. I'm just picking my guitar up again after the World cup and strumming through a few tunes. I enjoy your videos, especially the Bowie stuff. I'm still learning after 2 years and am vowed to improve especially my heavy handed strumming!!! I'll keep watching. Cheers Mark

  • Great lesson Thank you.

  • Don't you mean finish off with an "A" instead of an "E"? Great tutorial.

  • Started playing about 7 months ago and always wanted to learn to play this song on the guitar. Chords are easy enough. Just got to practice the finger pickin' intro and the strumming. Thanks for putting this up!

  • Great lesson mate, your guitar sounds mint. Subscribed!!

  • thanks for the lesson

  • Your sexy scottish voice dosent exacly help me concentrate mate;)

What a darling accent you have!

  • i really need help on playing the cord F sharp minor...how do you place your fingers? your pointing finger goes on the 6th string 2nd fret and on the strings 1 2 and 3. how do you do that???

  • Type this into youtube search:

Play F# Minor Chord on the Guitar: Root Position : Guitar Chord Dictionary 15

    Good luck

  • @danabeatles you bar all six strings with index finger on the second fret, takes some strength and practice!

  • thanks for your lesson!!! you rock!!!

  • I was wondering if you had ant tips about singing and playing, because I can't seem to sign AND play...do you have any advice for me?

  • @Crusader4Amor _ Practise and more practise - the only answer

  • @Crusader4Amor Get somebody else to "sign" for you. That way all you have to concentrate on is playing. :)

  • awesome. You rock dude.

  • What is the strumming pattern? And does the strumming pattern change in the bridge?

  • I've been watching, and learning to play this from you, but for some reason, whenever i play the opening riff, my fourth string sounds nothing like yours; so i've been playing the third string instead. Is that okay? If not, then is your fourth string tuned differently?

  • Your Guitar must be tuned incorrectly. Your forth string open should sound the same as the fifth string fretted at the fifth fret - (D)

  • @Crusader4Amor This is old but I hate to think of other people reading this and getting confused.

This guy counts his strings starting at the bottom, so the top string is "sixth", the next "fifth", and the third one from the top is fourth from the bottom, so "fourth"

Some people count it the other way. I'm not sure which is more common.

The best bet is always to watch their fingers closely!

  • dude, you rock!

  • I.

    Love.

    Your.

    Accent.

By the way, thanks for the lesson, lol.

  • I can now play "Pretty Woman" thanks to your lesson. Thank you so much

  • Nice Job, BTW!

  • I can't believe how many times I see tab requests on a YouTube video lesson. Newbies: type "guitar tabs" into Google and get tons of tabs at various tab sites for free.

I think the artists making these instructional videos have better things to do then fetch tabs that you can get easily yourselves!!

  • hi i have bin playing guitar for about a month and i am able to play this song not as good as he plays it here and with a mistake every now and then and sometimes i sorta take longer to get a chord

could someone tell me if that is good for a month of guitar playing

  • That´s fairly good for a month.

  • yes it is i have been playing for 3 months and its pretty easy.i learned it on week6

  • Guitar can take years of practice (not months) you will learn the chords I mean where they are but to master them, that is to strengthen your fingers and be able to switch chords and play them without mistakes or flutters can take many years.Of course everyone is different!

I took lessons when I was 9 years old but gave it up. Now I am trying to learn again.. I know alot of chords but there is a lot I do not know! still working on that F sharp Min chord that was the only one I didn't know

  • hi

iv bin playing for another month since i left that comment and learning triads helped me learn chords alot i cn make major minor diminished and some other chords anywhere on the fretboard which also helps soloing so learn triads instead of memorizeing chords

  • good tip!

    That's true..

    Thanks :)

  • thanks mate!

  • thanks

  • Welcome

  • would u mind forwarding me the tabs to that song?

  • Sorry don't have any tabs - Usually find that any I've looked at are wrong. So It's all in my head and I don't have the time or inclination right it all down.

  • how do you know if the tabs you look up are wrong, if you dont even know them ahaahahah

  • I used to use tabs but found I had a better ear than alot of the people writing them so I stopped using them. Try it you'll be amazed at how well you can train your ear. It takes time and practise but you'll get there if you persivere.

  • thank you so much!!!
