I actually cannot listen to the part about the roses and thorns without tears coming to my eyes It's just such a fantastic monologue: it resonates so deeply with my life and with everything I feel. No other work of literature has touched my soul as deeply as this one. The translation does the original french justice and the movie does (as much as a movie can do) justice to a book. Brilliant!

Yes, trying to watch this is frustrating. I just now bought a couple of copies of the movie on DVD for a very low price at Amazon. I have only an old copy of "The Little Prince" I video-taped off the t.v. years ago, and this will now be a great addition to my DVD collection and my grown daughter's, as well. Richard Kiley is the greatest.

Okay, the synchronization problem seems to be isolated to parts 1- 3. The rest of it, plays fine.

2) he is always zoned out, even when he's communicating with people

3) he's very friendly, and likes to talk even though he is obviously introverted

4) he is extremely pure and innocent

5) he intuitively grasps concepts about how stupid some people are

6) he's obviously extremely smart

7) all he wants to do is just chill, go on adventures, and play with people.

8) he's affectionate in a quite sort of way
