I remember reading about this game in the book Bringing The Heat by Mark Bowden (Black Hawk Down). You can see during this series that left tackle Ron Heller jumped. He was criticized a lot for his performance during this game, which he attributed to crowd noise; he couldn't hear the snap count, so he had to react to the defensive lineman who was reacting to the center, putting him at a real disadvantage. The Eagles clawed back to 30-23 in the 4th qtr., when the key play of game occurred. Eagle LB Seth Joyner intercepted a Jim Kelly pass at about the 50 yard line. Instead of stepping out of bounds with good field position, Joyner elected to attempt a lateral which the Bills recovered.
