@Work1ders You could do that under settings>reading and create a static front page and in the drop down box select the new page you created then select the page u want to be the blog(which is required)

I have a different theme which I am using as a tutorial on learning Wordpress.I dont see the options in the Appearences.Now how can I make changes and hise my page from appearing in the pages menu.Please help.

@user121304 - Not all themes have an options panel to configure them. To hide a page from appearing in the Navigation menu, you can create a custom menu under Appearance->Menus.
