well in fact the rights of all those helloween classics realy dont bellong to them but instead they bellong to weikath, kiske and kay hansen. so this guys can play all the songs they own for free without have to pay. if weikath come out of helloween they need to pay them to play those songs. and this thing happends in other bands like stratovarios and others. for exemple paul mckartney cannot play all the songs of beatles withou paying because the rights of the songs dont bellong to them

@vampiremcrhim This is true, but I must disagree (sorta), Kai AND the remaining original members of Helloween both own the rights to "I want Out" so in a way neither one of us is wrong. It's sort of like "joint custody" of a child, in a manner of speaking But instead, when one band makes a profit with said song, the other gets part of the royalties, but seeing as Kai wrote the music and lyrics (at least most of them if memory serves) he would get the residuals as well.

Dude, I Want Out was written by Kai Hansen, the head of Gamma Ray, plus Kai Hansen also did guitar, keyboards and vocals on Hammerfall's cover. So Sonata Arctica's is the only version in which Kai is not involved as interpreter. They are not really covers, but dont ask me what it is, its something between cover and *whatever the antonym of cover is*.

i really like his voice , but Kiske trained singing probably much longer and you can see it . for example in the last minute of this amazing song while Kai sang one note for about 5 seconds , Kiske did about 15 sec. and also at 4:04 Kai sang it with stoping between every word , while Kiske sang it without any stoppings . still Hansen is better songwriter .
