@golfmaniac007 True, but I still prefer just aiming in the middle of the club face. These guys can draw and fade at will, they don't need to set up on the heel. Plus he sets up on heel if he is playing a fade, draw, hook, punch, whatever...he just always does it. I guess he learned it as a kid. Maybe to learn a more inside approach. whatever, I think he knos what he's doing!!!
Yeah he does do that, I played with someone he used to play with a lot and apparently he does that to remind himself to bring it back down on the inside. Take it back a little bit too far outside so that you HAVE to bring it back inside.
A tip to all passionate golfers out there. Contrary to Couples, Garcia, Westwood and others, who really drop their heads through the hit and sort of compress the right lower back, Luke holds and almost lifts his head through the hit. I had bad lowerback pain over the last 3 years. Changing my head position through the ball to match Luke's motion has done wonder for the back, plus it provides better posture and feel at impact. Try it, hope it helps a fellow with bothering backache
@martinchevrier I think you're right howevet, to do it would take greaeter flexibility. I think most amateurs dip or rise because they aren't flexible enough to hold their posture through impact. I may be wrong
He looks about 14 here

I would guess he's fading that drive. Therefore the ball position to be able to cut across the ball abit

It sounds like there's an engine running in the background. How inappropriate.

@LondonNYLA
Dude it's golf not brain surgery. A little background noise won't kill them.

He does set up on the heel-yes. He just feels more comfortable like that.
cockywatchman1976 2 years ago
@cockywatchman1976 most pro golfers who position the club head on the heel are looking to draw the ball
