very good , but to much jumping around , need to stay more on his feet to be fair the shots are not that hard either so way to much diving if you ask me :)
Your a very good goalkeeper, you quick and agile and have all the ingrediants o a good futsal goalkeeper. However like all things there are things to work on,for shots on the floor may i suggest saving with feet, its quicker, efficient and less impact. the best futsal goalkeepers use this method. dive only when you need too...you dive for shots that are straight at you. What happen if you make a save the ball rebounds to an opposition player and your on the floor......more reason to stay on feet
For instance with 1v1's i used always come out and dive , then as i learned my trade i chose never to commit and just come out and stand-up , most intelligent strikers in high end futsal will try to lure you into diving down , and then lob you or dribble past into an empty net. Also such tactics buys a second or two for your defenders to cover the goal line or to smother the attack .Another trick of mine , when the ball is at my feet , i lure in a striker , pick up shimmy , roll out and counter
Just reading some of the other user comments , take it from an experienced futsal keeper .In futsal keeping ...positioning is everything , most of the time its not how good the shot is but knowing and reading players , the shots that come when you are not expecting or when the smart players do not have a set shooting pattern are usually harder to deal with and pose more threat than the shots hit with more pace and accuracy.
Im a futsal keeper , i two used to love diving around heaps though after 2 knee recons' i just position myself more and barely these days .I tape up both knees with sports tape which gives me more confidence and stability but hampers my movement , a good friend of mine plays with the one of the top club teams in w.a , i asked him if i could try out for their second string squad , or just fill in when they need .If i do i will have to up my game as im not as good as i used to be .
sharp reflexes, good ground technique and closing angles. Lots of diving, as someone said maybe a bit showy...?? Perhaps., but maybe you've come from outdoor keeping background. As you get older you will learn to become a bit more economical in your style..and have a different style for futsal & outdoor keeping. Most of the shots seemed too hot to handle...but handling of high/lobbed balls seemed a weak spot given pressure wasnt too intense.
my 2 cents...i sound like some a**hole dont i haha?
You have good flexibility and your dives are amazing. But I think your positioning could be alot better so you dont have to dive that much. If you make a step to the left just before diving to the right seems a bit showy. Try to hold the ball more, this will help the team alot! Keep it up!
