@soldierside365 speed:as fast as possible generally tabbing uphill,run/tab on flat and run downhill. its the fastest most efficient way of moving quickly on foot with weight. obviously a long distance would consist of proportionatly more tabbing than if it were a shorter distance.
thats not true. marines ordered to stand down at government house. the paras never would? have you seen a bridge too far? youll find similar happened at the bridge ., but you know that , pointless comment. they are both elite fighting forces, but paras seem obsessed with being better than commandos. get over it. both are well trained well motivated troops. move on.
When it comes to people comparing diffent regiments I would think that there would be many different variables that would make one harder than the other. For example, if you had a complete sadistic NCO for 10 weeks comapred to a NCO who is tough but fair for 32 weeks
perhaps so ..i've never done the 32 weeks...but the paras are better soldiers...from the fact i've never met a royal marine who can do as much as a para...and i've met alot of marines...nothing against them though..we are on the same side
bollocks you cant compare both are ardous courses in their own right. but to say one is harder than other is nonesense. for instance Commando course is 32 weeks yes, but no woman has ever passed P Coy but woman have passed Commando course.
actully thats not technically true, the reason for that is that the one women that has ever attempted the commando course is hannah snell, and the only reason she got her green lid was because the RM didn't want to come across as to sexist ie she didn't pass the assault course among lots of other things but essentially they let her carry on so not to get a law suit on their hands, i think that the para course is more about the short bursts where as marines is more of an endurance
They're training for different roles - at the end of the day they're different types fo troops. The paras are shock troops, smashing into things and ripping them up. (reflected in the savage, short and sharp P-Coy)
The commandos are just that, commandos, operating on long TABs with heavy kit. And their training reflects that.
They're both good at their individual tasks, and the AACC and PCoy are availible to members of both services.
go on eh paras. ah see the bold danny campbell in this video taking p. coy what a guy

to those who have completed P coy-
I know tab stands for tactical advance to battle, but what sort of speed is it, and is it a quick march or a mixture of running and marching?
cheers

the 10 weeks would be harder.
