It's an empty claim. Fact is those employers who hire the illegals get away with paying them 2 dollars an hour as opposed to paying 10 dollars an hour to an american. So let them run off at the mouth, they'll be going home soon.

What the fuck is with all these claims that Americans don't want to do certain jobs and that Americans don't work long hours. It's bullshit. Americans are willing to do this work and put in the hours. We always were before, what's different suddenly? Nothing is different-it's all propaganda which makes normal people just turn a blind eye to businesses who are not willing to do the right thing which is to pay decent wages and provide safe working conditions.

You are right. I am a legal immigrant, and i worked hard to get here. I worked even harder to contribute to society. I am a volunteer in my community and a med student. We started with nothing, but we worked our way up... LEGALLY. Now some guy running across the border comes here, and within 5 years, gets the rights i worked my ass for for 20 years. It is completely absurd and a spit in the face to the immigrant that does it the right way. All that work, equals someone jumping the border.

I live in Florida, a group of young guys are digging in my neighborhood for the digital cable thing and guess what? I talked to them and they are Mexicans & Cubans, working, digging and it is hot as hell outside!! All immigrants, and they are in their late 20'.

Where do you live Rose! Because you dont speak for Californias. Im serrano Indian, native to what you call Southern California. My ancestors have been here for more than 2000 years. This once multi-cultral society is now 70% latino. My home now is a gang infested slum. Gunshots heard nightly, as well as drugs being handed out like candy. My local stores all in spanish language. Dont speak of what you do not know.
