  • I love it when you nail that ride on the way through the fill just before 1:31. Classy.

  • What kind of cymbal, are you use from 1:29 - 1:38?

  • what's your audio interface?

  • i love yor china cymbol ! which one is it ? ( brand, line )

  • You should do a cover of Been caught stealing (Janes Addiction)

  • is this without EQs or did you mix the sound?

  • How the fuck do you switch from the best and most durable cymbal company in the world to the worst sounding, most overpriced, non durable cymbals?

  • all the mics possible... ! :( Deluded

  • Awesome playing and sound! I can tell the influence from dream theater/mike portnoy! nice!

  • the sound is perfect...

  • my dream kit in silvedr with the black hardware :)

  • i sense some insane Portnoy influence in your playing :)

  • what snare is that? it's amazing!

  • it sounds good but theres a ringing from the kick drum, you should gate the kick and toms to prevent that but the snare sounds fuckin perfect and the rest sounds good too, great playing

  • what kind of reverb u use,?

  • @toasterwaffles232 Are you about drum set? If yes, look at this cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Mapex-Saturn-Drumset-6pc-Super-Nova-Burst-Shell-Pk-/380354648821?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588ee75af5

  • hey I know this isn't the point but your cymbals sound amazing. It would make me supremely happy if you were to make a vid of all your cymbals and mics and stuff.

  • @snazygitrst Sorry man, this video cymbals were Sabian, but now I use Zildjian.))) But if anyone is interesting in the near future I will try to make a demo of this setup

  • I have the Audix D6 as well, that microphone is kick ass! What are you using to record your drums? I have a crappy Alesis that only has 2 outs so my kit gets mixed together I can't eq each drum individually.

  • @Irish614 Запись была сделана используя только один микшерный пульт. Скоро у меня появится звуковая карта и буду делать новае дэмо))))

  • Hi there! Awesome demos man. You can you tell me your opinions on the Audix D6? Both good AND bad please? Im looking into buying one. Would you prefer another mic for the job? Can you get the same sound with other mics with EQing? Etc. Thanks!

    -azt

  • @azombiestool I changed the Audix D6 on the Shure Beta 52a. Audix D6 too "metal" for me), I need a little softer sound. In my opinion, Audix D6 is best mic for live perf - just plug and play! But cutted mids make it less universal. So for heavy metal music is the perfect microphone - excellent sound without any processing, but if you play different styles (like rock, pop etc.), I do not think that the Audix D6 gives the sound that you need. Shure 52a needs more EQing, but ican get desired sound

  • @EvgenPanasuk I see. I knew about the whole metal thing, and some people mentioned its harder to get good sounds out of other intruments, cause its hard to get around the Taylored Eq within the mic.

Can you tell me how you went about recording it? Like, the singal chain from the mics, onward. Preamps, mixers, programs, etc? Thanks tons. I really loved your sound and I have an OKAY drum sound in my amateur studio, but Id love to know what gives people such a wonderful sound. Mixers? Preamps?

  • 2:10 heel toe?

  • your bass drum tuning??? please...

  • @tolisdrums s'all in the mic placement, the mic and the drum :o....and any sort of eqin'....just tune low....for that....soppy wet towel sound....

  • Wow Saturn rules! That Pearl snare is amazing!

  • Question about the kick, how did you place the mic, and what EQ or compression is on this track? Great sounding kit man.

  • @krustykarl The microphone is located about 4 inches inside the hole. Just right angle to the head (not in center). EQ a little cut around 170 Hz to remove boominess. The compressor is not used.

  • @EvgenPanasuk

    Thanks!

  • What tom mounts are you using?

  • @WyldeSDMF Like this Mapex TS700.jpg
