@gingerbreadgirlyboy While I do agree that Master Chief is a huge badass, Marcus would kill him fairly easily.

Marcus would have been given a heads-up and he would be ready for the fight. If he was smart, he would have prepared himself with the hammer of dawn and a gnasher for close range. As chief tried to make his way to him, he'd unleash hell from the skies from the hammer of dawn and if chief managed to live through that, Marcus has his shotgun (which can get a damage boost, unlike Chiefs)

@warryen Well, Master Chief with armor on can fly (jetpack), so no matter how fast he can run it doesn't matter. and he can become completely invisible (active camo). so yeah, that doesn't change anything.

maybe adam fenix had intended to flood the hollow by sinking Jacinto, but he planned that before the lightmass bomb when off in GoW1. that particular event caused the lambent locust to spread, and as was clearly shown in the GoW3 trailer, flooding the hollow didnt kill the lambent, just made them move to the surface. possibly an alliance between humans and locust to defeat the lambent? the elites in halo teamed up with humans to defeat covenant in halo 3, so its a complete possibility

To me, GoW 2's story resembled Halo 2's in a lot of ways (not a bad thing considering Halo 2 was my favourite). The Lambent resemble the Brutes rebelling against the Elites, Skorge is similar to Tartarus and the Queen is nearly identical to Truth.

As I said, not a bad thing, I loved how this game's story was upped ten-fold compared to GoW 1.
