Sorry to hear that Mr. Koukl is actaully claiming to be a 5 pointer, but then says that we can act without a sovereign ordaining of God. He is in error about this.....he has forgotten that it is God who ordains all. We choose because God has chosen the boundaries of our will first. Think of Joseph -- "You intended this for evil, but God purposed this for good." It's terribly clear.
When you say you believe in the 5 points...you open up a whole new bag of cats. Irrestable grace Limited attonement and Unconditional election are all unbiblical concepts, not to mention the doctrine of once saved always saved AKA Perserverence of the saints...why not just teach the word of God and keep your philosophy out of it? The problem with reformed theology is that in it you go to extreemes and God has told us not to depart from his word to the right or to the left.
@SeraphsWitness Contrary to popular Calvinist belief, non-Calvinists have noticed this chapter in Romans and have interpreted it in non-Augustinian ways.

Hi Greg,
Would you have another example for your type 1 definition of freedom (where we choose to do it and had no other choice) other than that of sin.
Thanks,
Bob
