I have always thought Troy's imagination and vision would get him far. Loved the short and can't wait to be scared in the movie theatre by him. Wish he would do a premier in Saskatoon.
Reminds me a bit of Pixar's visual poetry(think Luxo Jr.) although the "monster" creature is much like Del Toro's own creations. I first saw Troy Nixey's name in The Matrix Comics. He could have a bright future in front of him in the world of cinema if he plays his cards right.
By the way, he should upload this film onto the Web in HD. It's kind of a slap in the face that the only version available is such a low-res one.
Absolute genius, no wonder Del Toro is grabbing onto this guy. If he's turning out something this imaginative and this high quality outside of the studio system with limited resources, think what he could do with more money and backing from someone equally inventive like Del Toro. Really, really looking forward to seeing more from this guy.
did his water break at 5:00 or something?
