  • Got to be one of the gayest films ever, made me sick watching it...

  • @ilikebeertoo youve gotta be one of the gayest people ever. go suck a dick bitch

  • @ilikebeertoo fuck

    off

    troll

  • "heh heh heh blues man from long island"

  • Actually, the other side of the guitar dual is played by the magnificent Ry Cooder. Steve Vai only played his side as Jack Butler.

    Thought people should know, cheers.

  • @JWM1984 This is correct information. Search for Ry playing with John Lee Hooker, bloody magical. As John Lee says "The GREAT....Ry Cooder!"

  • @JWM1984 - I think by Climatic, he means the final part, Eugenes trick.

  • @JWM1984 only the slide parts are ry cooder, the classical part at the end is performed by somebody else

  • @JWM1984 Only Eugene's bluesy stuff are Ry Cooder

  • @JWM1984 Finally some one who knows Ry Cooder

  • @JWM1984 actually steve vai did play both sides , Ry cooder only played the blues parts of the film

  • @sa18hr: I thought so too, but the behind-the-scenes on the dvd says Ry Cooder. I encourage you to prove otherwise, but you'll disappoint alot of people here if you can. Research it, who knows.

  • @JWM1984 Used to own the soundtrack back in the old cassette days, (damn I'm old), and the cover notes credited it to Ry Cooder. He also wrote some of the songs obviously not the ones by Robert Johnson. So if anyone says they can prove otherwise are probably from an alternate universe (or grossly incorrect).

  • @sa18hr im not a 100% realy so i cant argue lol , just agree its a great film lol

  • @JWM1984 ry cooder only play slide and a bit blues guitar, vai does eugene's trick bag

  • @Thehwchampionotw As I've said to everyone else who only reads what the publicist says: DO your own research. I fully respect your right to have opinion, but even the playing style, intonation, phrasing, and timbre are distinctive of Ry Cooder. I encourage you to ask any of the other (now 16) people who are against the notes in this videos description bar.

  • @JWM1984 i don't need to i have his albums and eugene's trick bag is played by vai as the notes are mainly semiquavers ry cooder done the the question answer duel

  • @JWM1984 Ry Cooder's not magnificant

  • @JWM1984 Steve Vai played Eugene's trick bag and Ry Cooder played all the slide stuff!

  • best guitar duel out there! this has been one of my all time favorite scenes since i was a kid

  • 1:13:20 Drink down drink off kid drink down drink off feel blue kid feel blue.

  • not just karate hey?? man of many talents. all that paint the fence, must of come in handy.

  • Thanks for this. My all time favourite movie . Now I'm gonna play some blues :D

  • superb , I loved this little gem of a film ..thanks Crackle

  • this is such a coool MOVIE

  • Is the nurse in the first scene the same woman in the second scene? The guitar player after Ralph?!?!

  • Macchio is such a fuckin douche. Perfect for a role like this.

  • me to

  • I can't get the movie to play. All it shows me is the advertisement

  • Great Movie. I wish they would put this out on DVD. It's hard to believe people give Elmore James the credit for the king of the slide. All real Guitar buffs and people who know their blues know that Robert Johnson was the king of the slide. even Elmore James knew that. I still love Elmore James.

  • It is on DVD

  • I agree, it is a great movie. And, they do have it out on DVD. I know because I own a copy of it. I think I bought on ebay for about $10. Def worth the buy!

  • i cant believe u guys had this fucking movie man! one of my favs and u guys just happen to have it!

  • "Long Island breeding ground for bluesmen"

    Haha

  • come watch my video on how to download video and music from youtube so u can watch it where ever whenever you want

  • great movie

  • Did Ralph really play everything in this movie..I love this movie never gets old saw it for the first time when i was 8 and watched it 1000 times since..great flick...

  • no I'm pretty sure Ralph fingered most of the parts. Steve Vai (the devil's guitarist) composed and played all guitar parts in the movie

  • not the slide parts bro. ry cooder did most of those.

  • What the heck is up with the commercial volume. You make us watch it, you don't have to make us deaf as well. I'm mean come-on already.

  • If you use a "host file" you can watch the movie without commericals.

Google "host file" to learn more about blocking unwanted parasites(ADs).

    There's no place like 127.0.0.1!

  • I love that Charvel! Stupid they had to take the name off the head.

  • Why are the commercials so loud?

  • I never understood why this movie is rated R.....

  • 1:31:13 to 1:34:18 is the best part of the movie!

  • Agreed.

  • 20 sum years playing guitar and I still cant play "Eugenes Trick Bag"...the last 10 min. of the movie is waht inspired me to play guitar! I still love it!

  • Awesome movie, made me want to be a guitar player.

  • Absolutely! Jack Butler is my IDOL!!!!!!!

  • I love the chords he plays at the end

  • maxthon works , no commeriacls, but i can't download the video

  • i have a new favorite movie

  • Steve Vai and Joe Seneca are the best actors in this movie

  • The commercial is very annoying. Would not be bad if you had some control and could advance it. Good movie.

  • download maxthon browser! no comercials

  • why in the hell does this shit stop every 12 seconds?!?!?!....talk about fucking annoying....lol

  • it doesnt. u have a shitty video card or a shitty internet.

  • if u wanna see the guitar battle go to 1:24:35

  • this is my favorite movie

  • wow

  • I like Ralph. He is really cool, a great actor. By the way, cool video

  • Why the fuck does this shit quit stoping 20 minutes into it.

  • lol "If i had a nickel for every Willie Brown I ever met I wouldnt be hear listenin to your bull shit!" This movie is amazing.

  • There are no commercials when i watch it. I just watched ghostbusters commercial free too.

  • love this movie

  • Quit bitching.

  • look, this kid took down the cobra-kai dojo by himself.shit,i forgot the point i meant to make.DAMN YOU QANAX and AMBIEN !

  • too bad the commercials get in the way so much, in between good music and emotional dialogue. glad to have this movie uploaded though.

  • these commercials get on my nerves.

  • sheesh its a free movie...stop complaining, and they are not even long. if u had to pay for it..then complain...sheesh..do u complain when u call 1800 free 411 and get mad at the offers it presents to u...its expected...cuz essentially nothing is free..so watch it and be quiet!

  • Sheesh man....you make a good point...sheesh...thanks...i never thought about that way...sheesh.

  • I know be quiet man I cant hear shit ! lmao

  • @notforyou760 its a free movie....deal with them

  • Highly under rated movie

  • "Scratch" reminds me of the creepy old preacher from Poltergeist II.

  • ive been taking about this movie for a while..looking for it on dvd. Thx for the upload.

  • This is one of my favorite movies.

  • Trivia: Actor Steve Vai played both sides of the climactic guitar duel, while at the same time acting as Jack Butler, the devil's guitarist.

Wrong: Ry Cooder played Ralph's part.

  • ry cooder played the blues part for ralph, but the paganini and arps part is done by mr. vaiii

  • The last part makes you forget the rest of the movie

  • It's on Steve Vai's movie soundtrack as is his work on Bill & Ted's

  • why the fuck are there commercials duringh the movie?

  • ohhhh this is awesome!!! guitar duel is classic!! i learned that last solo in the end, but still can't make it sound sooo pure!!

  • the black girl dancing at the end is very annoying!!!!!!

  • cmon she has great lines..... "YEEEEEAAAAAAA HAH HAH" its epic... haha just kiddin

  • @iamcanadianwoo and hot as fck

  • Steve Vai composed "The Karate Kid's" part and his :P And since the kid couldn't do it all, he only learned the parts that were shown in the movie o.o

  • It is on steve vai's compilation of studio works album. I think it's called Illusive light and sound.

  • The battle sequence was classic!!!!

  • Feel like picking up a guitar now...

  • yea lol i play guitar, but when i first saw this movie it made me want to just play with a slide and my fingers

  • there's only one problem with the duel scene: Vai's not a blues player

  • This was a problem mentioned during filming by Arlen Roth, who was not credited but made the majority of the music during the film. The directors and producers disagreed with his arguement and wanted it to be more attractive to the audience of the time. This of course was when heavy metal was becoming popular, and they ended up with Vai instead of Ry Cooder vs. Arlen Roth's playing. You can check Roth's website for his story about making the film.
