hey. Great review! 5*! I have a question. The GPS navigation doesn't cost anything right? I just got the Droid about 2 hours ago and so far it is amazing me! I was just wondering if the GPS costs anything extra. I paid like $29.99 for the 'data something something' service and the GPS works, I just don't want to use it if it is going to charge me for time it is running. But I doubt it would, just wana make sure.

GPS has been BS for me. Can't find my location... It puts me on the map about a mile away from where I am. As I drive 'my location' jumps around map, but is never correct.. I went to verizon, they couldn't do anything, they said talk to google... google has no phone number to call for assistance... GPS doesn't work... no way to fix as of now... might take phone back...

Hmm.. the only time is does that with me is if "GPS" is turned off, and it's triangulating your position via Cell towers.

Maybe your GPS is messed up.. I would trade it in for a different one. My Droid is usually accurate to 3 meters.

As far as i can tell, this is just like any other android phone on the market, other than this is exclusive to Verizon. Only advantage is qwerty keyboard. which i never really use thanks to Speech To Text.

Great job but i love my iphone i think its the best and cant wait for apple to fire back they will kill the competion when they do but this whole thing was started by apple so when they do come up with something everyone should go crawling for it i like the touch screen keypad you can change the size of your letters on here so its easier the camera is decent but not great they shoud come out with an update to were you can multitask

Man this navigation feature is tight!!! I was considering buying a navigation device like a garmin, but man i may have to reconsider and just buy this phone instead. Only thing that sucks though, is that because it is a smart phone the internet will be an extra $30 on top of my monthly bill. Hmm, maybe it will be cheaper to just buy a regular navigation device instead.

so alot of phones have a issue with calling navigation directions over a stereo bluetooth connection and last time i checked pandora didn't work with stereo bluetooth, does anyone know if either of these has been solved with the droid?

I actually really really like the HTC HD2. I have the HTC Imagio and I hate it but it seems like the things I hate about my Imagio the HD2 is really good at. The only thing is its on available in the UK. The Hero is really slick and nice. One of the things that I like the most is that is really customizable. One of the drawbacks is the Hero is kinda laggy.

At this moment I don't really like windows mobile 6.5 and I'm liking android 2.0 better. I've seen screenshots of what winmo 7 will look like and I really like it, but there's still no info on a release date. I really like the HTC HD2, but I think I'll regret it when I buy the device and android will look so much more awesome. And I don't live in the US, so the HTC HD2 will be in stores within a week or 2 max.

Yea I do like the android better than 6.5 to but the only thing I will say is its still android 2.0. Its still fairly new even though its been out a while and by it just coming on on Verizon phones and they are trying to pack so much in this phone so fast I am sure there will be some problems with it but nothing major i would think. Oh well since you dont live in the US I would go with that HD2. Now between the HD2 and the droid just depends on what you like and what you want to do w/ the phone.

Well I mean if your into a more professional type phone whats slightly customizable. The android is more customizable and more for the everyday users. Its a little more laid back. The android isnt really basic but not so much professional as the winmo.

the browser works better on the iphone when you using 3g but in wifi droid is the winner... but you must know ,,, theres a map for that and thats true cuz the other day i was walking to the market and the iphone dostn have 3g at that time... dunno why cuz other times it has 3g but well you have the fastes 3g with att but the best 3g is on verizon also the best phone in the market wich is the DROID
