@24Takedown you clearly haven't seen the spetsnaz Train then /watch?v=Wt-6E0TkHrM but honestly its actually better to be there to see them train. but your lack of knowledge of the Spetsnaz is poor they aren't Poorly trained regular FSB put SEALS to shame. and the Regular VDV puts your marines to shame yes Spetsnaz are lightly equipped but they can survive out in hostile areas for such long times. they dont need Russia fought Gerogia in just 9days they one that war.

they dont need so much Armour because they are trained to survive and make use with what they can get their hands on in the field it from other operatives with them or from the corpse of an enemy in chechnya, make use of what you can get, why carry bulky backpacks and bulky clothing when is can slow you down and make you a easier target, alot of VDV soliders are dropped with Light tanks (crew inside the tanks) something the USA cant do.

@90magor actually your wrong, spetsnaz is apart of the police to all police officers go through the same training as the spetsnaz, they have Spetsnaz Brigades in the police forces but in the army they are like the VDV and the MVD etc but OMON has the same role as the MVD they are paratroopers and law enforcement as well as counter terrorism.
