In Physics last semester we took a potato cannon outside and used it. It was similar, but different in that it used a spark. So basically the teacher used a button connected to wires to create a spark, and then we sprayed the bottom with hair spray to create a fuel. It's less controllable because you can't really change the amount of hair spray without ruining the oxygen mixture, but it was still pretty cool.

@McGrittle98 yea i used that for mine he has a great idea i used 2" pvc though but yes a bike valve would work just dont put the cap end on the ground or u will lose it like i did and have to cut the thing off to put it back on

@McGrittle98 i used copper tubes, and soldered a regular bike valve to it. Holds 150+ PSI easily! You can try placing one in pvc, although pvc isn't pressure tested. If you want to be certain, use copper or steel.

that value was a bitch to find. we (me and a friend) ended up buying a bike tire tube and just cutting it off... in the end, we spend $25 and made a decent one. we used 1" pvc though, about 5 feet long before modifying with a ball-valve, cap, and schrader valve, ending up ~5'4". though we messed up some of the sealing around the schrader value, we shot stuff at 100 psi before it started leaking. few tweaks and it should be fine to hold way more

You need to warn people that they need to but special PVC piping for the project. The PVC you are using is most likely pressure rated, however some is not and can explode at low PSI
