I read on wikipedia the Fox didnt order the fifth season, so the series ended. But why did they not, if everybody loves Prison Break?

its mostly a creative decision. they plan season four as a definite ending. if they make it go on for too long the steam may be lost.

so ending the story while everyone still loves it makes prison break one thing : a legend.
