I celebrate thanksgiving in canada its not just america and im thankfull that god has blessed me with food and a good crop because i farm i dont thank the clouds for rain for my good crops i thank the god above all and the first thanks giving they were giving thanks to god and quit trying to take god out of the picture its so annoying you should suck it up that he exists and without god you would not be breathing god makes life not a big explosion in space cmon!
The Big Bang isn't a theory on the origin of life. I'm sure people have tried over and over throughout your life that abiogenesis is the theory. But I probably already hit the brick wall that is your brain, huh? Keep thanking and praying to your imaginary friend...it's your wasted time.
im thankful just to be. at one point in my life, it wasnt that obvious wording. im thankful of my light of all lights guarding my sleep over that time. you know who you are, you will never feel alone anymore. my life is yours, my sweetest flame.
I am always beyond-words thankful for the first Amendment.
At the moment, I am also deeply thankful for friends, both personal and via-Internet, with whom I can toss ideas around and get real feedback on. Sometimes, I even get to participate in a real, heated debated among adults who civilly disagree. I cannot express enough gratitude to those who participate and who make this possible.
And there's plenty more to be thankful for, but those are the most on my mind right now.
I'm thankful for freedom of speech and democracy. Especially sections 2-3 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, or the First Amendment in the USA.
Im not american, I dont celebrate turkey day, but I am very thankful for everything I have, I don't know for a fact there is or not a God, although everything seems to indicate there isn't, I earned everything I have, therefore... I THANK MYSELF for being driven, strong minded, and open. I thank people like yourself, that help me learn and see the world from a different perspective. Overall, Im thankful for being alive... therefore, for my parents.
even though my country doesnt celebrate this day, im thankful to my mum, over the past year she has dealt with the angstiness that comes with being a teenager. it comes and goes and she doesnt get angry cause she knows that i as an individual , i do not mean what i say. and i will always mean in when i say sorry because i actually am. she lets me make my own mistakes and is there when i need her most. thanks mum, you're the best a daughter could get
I'm thankful that some God poofed the world into existence and he tweeked it just right that the natural processes over billions of years would produce me living and be in a free country. I'm sure he planned it just for me.
My Lutheran father for being understanding of my non-belief. ...And I suppose my mother, for wanting me to not spend eternity in hellfire. The sentiment's nice, albeit unnecessary and unappreciated.
I'm thankful for never having to worry about not having food in the fridge or clothes on my back. Or about college tuition. Especially college tuition.
Is it sad that we have a national holiday devoted to stuffing food into other food?
I am thankful to no one! As every Christian knows, we atheists must stalk the night alone, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, seeking the blood of Christian children, with no assistance from anyone.
To all the pain and tears, joy and laughs, the times I was glad for being born, the times I was angry for not being otherwise, I am thankful. To every ancestor whose names I'll never know, to every person kind enough to call me friend, to all my enemies who've fueled my mind with hate, for every fellow-mortal whose life was extinguished to sustain my own, to all the girls I've loved before (who've traveled in and out my door)...
Im thankful of the american people (which includes me) for electing barack obama. Im thankful of my university for just being a wonderful place filled with interesting people. Im thankful for my family, they are really good to me. Im thankful for my roommates, they are both responsible and fuckin cool, and I'm thankful for the internet!
Besides the usual list of suspects to thank, wife, kids, etc. I'm thankful that we live in a country which has constitutional guarantees of freedom from religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, etc. I'm thankful I don't live in Iran, and I want to keep the United States from becoming a theocracy like they are. I'm thankful to the men and women of science who have made our lives better. Without them, I would be dead now of a heart attack.
1)You for making this video and making me think about what I'm really thankful for. 2) Loving family and friends that care... even if I am an "evil atheist". 3) All the blessings I've received in my life so far. 4) To be alive and getting a chance to live a rather happy life. It's been pretty fun so far
Your dad got better because of GOD........Na........it was medical science, I hope he returns to full health very soon.

Heh, didn't actually realise until now that my birthday is pretty close to thanksgiving and I spend almost the same way, except the gluttony part.

my wife, kids, our health, our prosperity, technology (a blessing, yet at the same time a curse), high-powered telescopes and microscopes.
i also like good food, so i'm thankful that it finds it's way to me quite easily. i regret that many people don't eat as well as us. reach out.
