Governor Benson forced his attorney general to resign for poor judgement in not wearing a shirt at a public event. Lynch needs to show leadership by gathering the troops and forcing Buckley to apologize and say that he has no interest in the chairman's position, and then make him stick to those words.

This is an opportunity for our passive, words only/no action governor to quiet some of his critics. Governor Benson forced his attorney general to resign for poor judgement in not wearing a shirt at a public event. Buckley's video, and especially his words, make those circumstances look like an afternoon tea. Lynch needs to show leadership by gathering the troops and forcing Buckley to apologize and say that he has no interest in the chairman's position, and then make him stick to those words.

Sounds like the NH democrat party is rallying around the person that really represents thier values the best. "Gay Politician Crusies Young Boys" is a standing headline in New England newspapers. All they have to do is fill in the politician's name and date. This is just keeping up a fine Democrat tradition in the spirit of Barney Frank and Gerry Studds.

actually Mr Vallincourt lives in the closet when asked he respons I have never publicly stated I am gay, also Steve is a former Democrat who got mad at Raymond when Ray got more votes when they ran from the same 3 seat district, Steve left the party after that election and become a republican vowing to top Ray two years later in the district only to barely hold on to his seat , Steve responding my kicking Ray out of his house. Steve has attacked Ray every chance since then.

And Steve has won re-election by comfortable margins ever since. The last time Buckley ran for the House (2002), he finished several hundred votes behind Vaillancourt. Buckley only beat an unknown Republican by about 30 votes. When Buckley ran for Governor's Council in 2004, he was crushed in his home ward. Those who know him don't respect him!

All of you Buckley defenders make me laugh...I think you all ought to lay off the Kool-aid. As all the others gleefully point out, there are gays and lesbians in both parties. What distinguishes Raymond from them is his whole, "in your face, I am gay!" mantra. Ray lives the fringe elements of Gay lifestyle like everyday is a Mardi Gras Parade in New Orleans. Contrast that to the other gays and lesbians that somehow maintain a modicum of dignity and respect within the respective parties.

These Kool-aid drinkers have not grasped the heart of the issue. Ray lives on the fringes. And for the record, Mark Foley is what he is, but he does not lay a glove on Buckley. He sent lacivious e-mails, but in all other aspects he appears to have conducted himself with dignity, owned up to his bad behavior and gave up his seat. He didn't go punishing the democrats for his bad behavior. So, I can't really agree that Buckley is a potential Mark Foley. Buckley is a worse lot.

I believe Buckley should not become NH Dem chair, but I strongly despise this gay witch hunt. His orientation should not be irresponsibly linked to the allegations of his opponents. If Buckley is truly a sexual predator, people like Steve Vallaincourt should have contacted police a long time ago, instead of waiting conveniently until he gets a political promotion. But this is New Hampshire... and I can't recall one local Republican politician who has fallen from grace due to one of Buckley's "vicious attacks". Being a registered Republican myself, I get annoyed when we are unfairly attacked. But who was the last NH GOP member who actually got such brutal treatment as this?
