A 20, maybe 30 story building might follow traditional collapse patterns (as in the case of WTC7) but even that had a massive structural fire that was NOT seen from every angle. You're assuming these CDs are conventional when we all know they couldn't have been on the towers. They had to be exploded from the top down because that's where the plane impacts were.
Also, in an operation like this things have to be precise. The planes were likely electronically controlled, and targeting errors would only be a few feet. The explosives could have been placed so as to avoid the known path of the planes.
A few explosives could have gone off when the planes hit but they would be masked by the explosion of jet fuel. Regardless, castings for explosives could be designed to survive very violent impacts...like black boxes can.
Also, there is no reason whatsoever to suspect that the core of either tower would fail from steel temps that, according to the paint tests NIST conducted and thermodynamic calculations were not more than 600F.

If all the concrete was "pulverized into dust" and the steel was "quickly shipped off", what were the rescue workers standing on for months? Was it just a pile of desks and phones? Where are the dozens or hundreds of blasts heard before the towers came down...you know perfectly well that any demo video features dozens of clearly audible and visible charges exploding BEFORE a building collapses, not during. If the WTC 1/2 were "exploded", why does the WTC 7 collapse look nothing like them?

It was louder than any normal controled demo, much louder. So the collapse of these buidings was most certainly heard miles away. Many witnesses claimed to have heard explosions before the collapse, and there are videos that validate those claims (with their audio).

even if the structural steel weakened and the "tops" of the buildings came down, they would fall into the path of least resistance, not through hundreds of stories of structural steel at free fall speed.

But the vertical load of the bldg was far exceeded by the mass falling from above.
By a factor of 6-7 in the North and 8.5 in the south.
There was NO WAY to stop it.
The speed of collapse being exactly right since there were no explosives involved. Except for the plane crashes of course.

i haven't been able to envisage a scenario where explosives were NOT used, the force produced by the weight of the tops of the buildings would not have been enough to force through the path of MOST resistance and FREE FALL speed.

of all the buildings to sustain damage on that day, building 7 was one of the farthest if not the farthest building away. ive not seen any evidence that large chunks of building 7 were missing. second "900ft above" to "portion of the bottom of the bldg" in itself doesnt make sense.
most importantly though, for that hypothesis to hold up each corner of the bldg would have to have sustained the same damage, otherwise it wouldnt have gone into its own footprint.

The explosions in the basement were nowhere close to taking them out, if they were Willie R would be DEAD.
The pulverization was not 100%, to suggest that it was is just silly.

Please explain to me, in a coherent way, how vertical dynamic loading and "anything of the sort" shows Jim Hoffman to be "absolutely clueless".

The fact that he doesn't realize that the No tower basically peels apart from a much higher level than the south. The core failed FORCING the ext walls outwards in LARGE perhaps 50 story sections. The tower was only 500 feet from WFC across the street. Not unrealistic at all.

The squibs are in fact compressed debris and air since the towers were almost 75% air. The tops of the bldgs themselves forcing the material horizontally since it met plenty of resistance on the way down.
The so tower upper part never "disintegrated". That's ridiculous!
This guy acts like he sees collapses like this all the time or something, hence being clueless.

Lastly, there is KEY difference between CD and collapses.
The "squibs" in CDs ALWAYS precede the bldg moving in a precisely timed fashion- unmistakably loud explosions.
Here they ALL come AFTER the bldgs start to move. AND are very random, the debris blowing out the path of least resistance.
How do the "explosives" survive the planes impacts?
How? Impossible!

You're assuming these CDs are conventional when we all know they couldn't have been on the towers. They had to be exploded from the top down because that's where the plane impacts were.
Also, in an operation like this things have to be precise. The planes were likely electronically controlled, and targeting errors would only be a few feet. The explosives could have been placed so as to avoid the known path of the planes.

A few explosives could have gone off when the planes hit but they would be masked by the explosion of jet fuel. Regardless, castings for explosives could be designed to survive very violent impacts...like black boxes can.
Also, there is no reason whatsoever to suspect that the core of either tower would fail from steel temps that, according to the paint tests NIST conducted and thermodynamic calculations were not more than 600F.

Again the explosives would have made the bldgs move but no, here the bldgs CLEARLY move prior to any (explosions)squibs from compressed air and debris.

A very good presentation, I find Jim Hoffman's research to be very convincing.
What I do not find convincing are the "arguments" put forth by bobby9tips. I do not find the argument that, if most people believe something therefore it's true, to be anything other than flawed logic. Why not argue from the evidence? Majority opinion doesn't really mean anything.

Those "blastwaves" come from the pressure of the building collapsing in on itself it creates ALOT of ripping wind. And the "squibs" are just windows blowing out from the outward pressure. besides, explosions that small are NOT going to take down the buildings if the explosion of the planes did not. unless strategically placed in the basements.
