In Dec. 2,1950, the UN resolution 390, voted 46 to 10 to federate Eritrea with Ethiopia, against Eritreans demand for independence.

Lovely video...having just returned I need to clarify that the train 'only' operates if there are many tourists requesting it and I saw no use whilst I was there. I think only the Litorina goes to Nefasit on Sundays..
The Dahlak were also inaccessible unless you could share the cost with a large group.
Asmara is a wonderful and vibrant city with lots of good restaurants and bars..
It is so nice to see the Hotel Bars filled with young Eritrean youngsters socialising with their friends..
