  • Hey.... I have this one too and it was my very first as well. I absolutely love it.....but don't trust that "up to 400°" jazz. Try 200° at the most :-)

  • Nice tip with the foundation. You are nice.

  • My mom has went and got a Alba style lace front...n i just know she will ask me to do it for her....BUT I HAVE NOW IDEA HOW OR WHERE TO START! I THINK ITS SOOOO UGLY I HAS ONE HUGE BRAID ACROSS THE FRONT...Canl you plz help meee!

  • Your Michelle Obama flow is awesome! LOL Great vid!

  • lmao michelle obama flow

  • I found the tamer when I went to look for the teezer and I very glad that i chose the tamer. I haven't done the wig thing yet though but I think that is a time effective hairstyle. this might be a stupid question but is it itchy?

  • beautiful

  • It looks great on you!!

  • LOL My new favorite quote is "Forget the white girl flow, I got the Michelle Obama Flow"! :D!!

  • @ArielleHime :Yes Girl..that was absolutely funny!!! Then she whipped her hair lmbo!

  • Too Cute!!

  • I'm in, I'm in school full time and never have time to do my hair anyway. I already have fluffy twist in my hair that I've done myself so I'm ret to go!

  • love that wig, how much does it cost?

  • Love it!! I have the same one and didn't know how cover the lace.. Thanks u learn sumthin new every day!! Be Blessed!!

  • IM IN!!!!! i did that last year

  • Very Cute! :)

  • agghh thats the wig that I saw online and wanted :) but I got "La Doby" by Vanessa instead. But I definitely like this hair on you, it's a nice change. <3

  • Looks great! I like the foundation trick.

  • I just bought me a lace wig

  • lol

  • I'm in. I put kinky twists in this weekend. I plan to keep them for 6 weeks. I have no idea what I'll do after that. Hum....

  • U inspire me everytime I watch your videos...I am definately joining this challenge!

  • I LOL'd when you did the Michelle Obama thing :) I'm definitely joining this challenge.

  • Thanks!

  • You did an awesome job!

  • So how do you explain your sudden hair "transformation" to people (like at work, church, friends, etc) who arent tactful enough not to ask?

    Person: "OMG...did u perm/straighten your hair??!"

    You: "Nah..it's a wig."

  • @Sophon04 Exactly! LOL! I post everything up about my hair in a video for thousands of people to see...there is no room for me to be ashmed....lol. It really does pass as being real...everyone thought it was until I told them and showed them that it was a wig. There are actually a lot of women that I work with that are thinking about buying lace fronts now (and Im talking blk, white, hispanic young and old). =)

  • really cute! .....lol ....michelle obama ! u always make me laugh!! :0)

  • Cute!

  • VERY CUTE PROTECTIVE STYLE!!!

  • I have this wig also and yes, it sheds profusely!!!

  • LmAO AT THE "i dontt need that white girl flow. I got that michelle obama flow"...n then the face u made..lol! :)

  • I'm so glad they made one with a handle.

I plan on picking up a Tangle Tamer. (:

Is it the same as the Teezer, but with a handle?

    It looks more potent.

  • Just bought this wig! And it's on sale now at the website you linked. $37.99!

  • Do you like the Tangle Tamer from Sally's as well as the Tangle Teezer that I keep hearing on about from other naturals on youtube?

  • @818poochie I like them both..more so the Tamer because of the handle

  • Why does it look better on you than on the model?? It's really cute@

  • Excellent!! Call me naive, but I could never figure out how people made these things so invisible. You might have just caused this lady to make an investment in a winter wig, girly girl!! Much love...

  • Nice look for U!!!

  • very cute!

  • That is so cute!!!! I'm so on your protective challenge!!!! Let the growing begin...*in my announcement voice.

  • The grays are inevitable. Sometimes I think mine or more white than gray. Anywho I enjoyed your staying and of course your video.

  • Very cute, honey!

  • looks nice just be careful with ur hair line the lace fronts is my reason for going natural rough on the edges and hair line so be carefyl ur hair is beautiful

  • Dumb question, but what are the rules? Is it just keep your hair covered, or are we required to not style by using wigs, braids, or weaves? I told you it was dumb, but I just want to make sure I'm keeping with the herd. Thx!

  • @Bebs1675 Not dumb at all...I actually meant to add the info in the description box...thanks for the reminder. You can go ahead and read the info I put up for you. =)

  • @MsVcharles Thanks muchly!

  • U wear it well. Thanks as always

  • I have the SAME exact wig and cannot get it to work for me! Blah, looks great on you.

  • OOOOOHH!!! I'm getting a Tangle Tamer TO-MOR-ROW!!!

  • Thanks for the video! I'll join the protective style challenge with you. I'm currently rocking some twists and always looking for other styles.

  • "Forget the white girl flow, I have the Michelle Obama flow!"

    Love it. :)

  • I got the michelle obama flow! LMBO

  • Vee instead of the str8 pins take two large bobby pins and pin down the tabs by your ear, it will work better than the way you are doing in the video babes!

  • that looks good.

  • You look great. Me likey!!

  • Work it Ms V!

  • Great video, thanks for sharing.:)

  • Looks good!

  • cute, cute, cute, girl! Ironically, I started my protective challenge back in August, and it will probably be going on strong until June of 2012 simply because I live in a colder state (Michigan) BBBRrrrrrrr!

  • Michelle Obama flow. lol

  • lmbooooo @ 1:08-1:11

  • I love it

  • Thank you so much for this video!

  • Cute^^

  • Best video i've seen thus far on how to put on a lace wig! Thanks!

  • LOL...Nice Video☺

  • You made that look GREAT!!!! Thanks for sharing your tips. :)

  • Super cute

  • That was the best video I have ever seen on the pros of wearing lace fronts. I always seen negative things about them in terms of how they look on people but that was fabulous. You made me actually want to try that. I looking for some protective styles myself....hmmmm :) Thanks!

  • Looks great! Thanks for the idea, my hair definitely needs this hibernation from heat and manipulation lol I love that lacefront, will have to add it to my collection of 1 :)

  • Looks good on u! Question though. Did u get headaches with this wig. I have this exact wig but was discouraged when I started getting headaches. Not sure if it was the wig cap causing it. Thanks. Love your videos by the way :)

  • @ife234 No, I dont get headaches at all from the wig. However right above my ear starts to hurt after a while due to the edge of the wig rubbing my skin, but I will be trimming that soon...keep forgetting to...lol. Oh and I dont use the combs either. Sometimes I just put on the wig and thats it, but if I need to feel more secured I will pin it down but thats about it.

  • @MsVcharles thanks for replying! i wonder why i get headaches. it was so bad i sometimes would go into the bathroom and remove the wig for a few mins! lol

i did notice it reduced when i didnt use the wig cap but i do know wig cap protects my edges so not even sure what to do! I dont use the combs either

    anyhoo, it's all good!

  • I like the unit & your eyebrows. Luv your quote @ 1:06 :)

  • That looks so nice on you.

  • Really pretty!!!

  • I love the Sandra-Michelle Obama wig, lol. I could definitely see msyelf rocking it.My only critique (as if you asked) would be maybe to pluck a couple hairs along the hairline, especially where the part is. It looks a little too "perfect" and rounded, IMO. Plucking a couple hairs could give the hairline a more natural look. I believe there are a few tuts out there somewhere.

  • @kandiekj100 Thanks for the info

  • Nice Job!!!...TRACK :-)

  • "forget the white girl flow. I got the Michelle Obama flow" LMBO!!!

  • That is so cute

  • Fist bump on dat, sis!!! She look good on you. Cute cut.

  • I would love to join your challenge! but I have a natural event that im hosting at my school......can i join later?

  • @thickyg567 You can join whenever you like. =)

  • I have a wig similar to yours i like it, the only problem is that it shed badly.nice though

  • I have those little gray hair. I use mascara to cover them when going on a date. Other than that I don't cover them up. BTW Sonia looks good on you.

  • My cousin is getting those little gray hairs prematurely and all she does is if she is wearing a style where they will show she takes a little eyeliner to color the 2 or 3 gray hairs. This allows her to not have to dye her entire head which is great for someone who wants to remain chemically free even from sem perm' dyes!

  • Nice!!!

  • I like...i may have to go and get that...i think it well fit my face

  • this on looks nice!

it realyl complements your face shape

  • @DuchessWright Thanks!

  • Great vid! I've been looking at the Sonya for a while. Where I live it's still warm so I planned to have my protective challenge go from Nov/Dec-April. I bc'd Dec 2010 and wore wigs for 5 months and saw great growth, Shoot, I didn't know then what I know now so I know I should see some great results!

  • I've been natural for 4 years but I've just recently began wearing my hair out( 4months) So I assume for those 4 years I wore wigs, weaves and sew ins I was doing protective styles??lol.

  • @MakeItADreDay Yup, protective styling.

  • Gurl, I'm definitely going to try a lace front this winter, I'm lovin' this!

  • tangle tamer? this i never heard of...is it made by the tangle teaser company?

  • @spritzfire009 No different company. Knock off but if you ask me the handle on it and price makes it much better.

  • Sheesh it looks so real at 3:13 :O nicenicenicenice

  • Very cute!

  • Looks very nice on you :)

  • Dear Ms. Vee.....facebook is cool n all, but not all of us are on there. Update twitter more if you can. thx!

Oh and how much was the wig? The lace fronts near me are like 100+

  • @shaytuck05 Yea I agree I do need to update there more often as well. But to be honest have been thinking about closing that account. FB is just a bit easier for me. =/

  • beautiful!

  • Its cute!!! I am doing a protective hairstyles until January!!!

  • That looks soooo good on you! Love it!

  • Cute...looks really nice on you! I may try a lace front wig. Peace ;~)

  • Oooh hair shero really pretty!!! Im going to start my challenge on the 21st. I have an appointment for a sew-in... Im HOPING to keep it in at least a month. If not, i might be rocking the wigs also :)

  • cute.LOL @ Michelle Obama flow

  • that cute...im going to go get me a wig for my protective style..its alone been a week for my hair challenge and i dont know what other styles to wear..so i cant wait until the next video.. <3

  • Very pretty! I like! LOVE YOU SIS! BE BLESSED! ♥

  • I love your videos and look forward to them every week! Lol. I've been wearing a protective style (curly wig) since September so I'm taking part in the challenge with you. I think I'll have to try out this lace front you showed us. It seemed so easy!!! Can't wait for the next video! :-)

  • @zarreah Yea, easy and cute. This is actually the cut I had when I was relaxed so Im loving that...lol.

  • Its gorgeous on you....Im going to get one today!!!

  • Thank you so much for posting, i ve been sent One and i was Just looking for ways to cut the lace etc, right in time, yeah!!

Btw, did yours come with the tapes? If so, why havent you used it? Thanks, merci, gracias :P

  • @shawnafrom35 No it did not and actually the wig advertises that no tape is neccessary.

  • Straight hair no heat ..There u go! Good vid girl!

  • Very Pretty!

  • I have a lace front too and I figured out that if you want a part: 1st make it a clean part, and then take some powder that matches your skin tone (or is a shade lighter to mimic the actual scalp) and press the powder into the part line. This makes the part look more realistic... especially from a distance or in pictures.

  • .it starts to get cold here in the begining of september.... :O( so i´m in a protectivstyle challange since september...i also started with yarnbraids....and maybe i end with them, because i love em :)

  • HAHAHA!! ur freakin' hilarious! <3

  • @kmwdredden- I don't know which branch of the military you're going to bmt for, but being in the military myself (air force), I wouldn't suggest wearing a wig for bmt. With all the stress of adjusting to military life and being outdoors (depending on the branch- air force has a warrior week known as "the beast"), it would be hard to take proper care of both your wig and your hair.

Best of luck though when you leave!

  • Omgosh! I'm sold on the lace front. Didn't think it was that easy!

  • This is very pretty! Thanks for sharing!

  • It looks really cute :)

  • That wig looks so natural and pretty on you!!! Great video!!!

  • the wig looks very nice on you! and what a nice tip with the foundation!

  • When did you get greys? I have one myself (19)

  • @bbyskittles91 I started when I was about 25ish I think...Im 31 now so its that time...lol

  • LOL at "GrrRrRRr those greys!" Ur like the closest hair twin I've seen on Youtube thus far and my "Greyage" is worse plus we're like the same age- Have u figured out the where and hows of them sprouting so "Early"? Oh and Yes to the "Michelle Obama Flow" I said that when I first saw!

  • @ACmmoore How early is early? lol

  • @MsVcharles 20's and 30's- I have just about as much greys as my 50 y.o mom- Now that's just sad :(

  • Nice wig good idea using the foundation. I would never think of that. Love your videos short and to the point!

  • preetty

  • I love this look on you!! It looks great

  • I cant to cornrows for the life of me! lol

  • I have a tangle tamer it works just like the teaser!

  • i need something like this when i leave for bmt

  • I love the wig. I'm doing a proctectove style challenge myself startin Oct through March/April to. I live in Indiana & this weather is loopie...we can have a 30-40 degree drop over night, so no more "out" hair. Lol. I'm with ya girl.

  • I've loved this wig for a long time. I'm wondering if I should rock a short, medium or a long wig for protective styling. Then again, I work at a vet hospital so animal fur would get in my wig. IDK! I've gotta figure this out. I'm rambling. Love the wig, Vee!

  • Ma'am! You are crazy. I love the look.

  • I gotta try it!

  • i love this hair!!!..im doing a protective style with sew-in(done by me) for this new york winter time...yay

  • i love it on you... u look mature i love it yesss...

  • Love it..
