  • Goosebumps @ 1:47 ! A genius at work...........Literally.

How you feel judges? "Dis feeling nice" really beat this? Jokers!

  • @cellopanman Jit was the first to pull off the hat trick from 1995 - 1997, Bradley was the second from 1998 - 2000. Ironically one occurred right after the other.

  • JIT FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Much respect to Jit Samaroo who has won more Panoramas in Trinidad than anyone else

  • Jit has 9 Panorama Final WINS. No other arranger has more than that. So superdave443 you are right. Although everyone has their favourite the fact remains Jit has the most Panorama Finals (big band) wins.

  • @renetnt yes this statement it true..Jit has the most Panorama WINS and the ONLY Pan arranger to WINS 3 Panoramas straight

  • @renetnt i think they need Dr. JIT back...

  • For what? He has nothing to prove, he's a legend who has retired....We good with his son Amrit....He is the future.

  • @superdave443 ..yes SUPERDAVE 443..Jit has the most Panorama..so srry for the misinfo

  • Jit Samaroo such a great, accomplished, yet humble man, God's blessings to you sir!!!

  • Dr. Jit Samaroo is truly a remarkable person . Very accomplished yet so humble and simple. A man of great wisdom .

  • My apologies for unintentionally misleading viewers. Jit Samaroo's quartet performance above is the Menuetto from Luigi Boccherini's String Quartet in E Major. Enjoy!

  • I've now got the name of that beautiful melody. It's from Ravel's String Quartet in F Major.

  • Re-my previous comment, I am not sure that the music is from Mozart. I know it but I can't remember the name.

  • What a beautiful rendition of Mozart's classical music! If Mr. Samaroo were to put similarly beautiful and short pieces of classical music on a CD (e.g., Ave Maria, Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, Schubert's Serenade, Brahm's Lullaby, Amazing Grace,Canatata #147 by Bach, Fur Elise by Beethoven,Berceuse by Brahms, Waltz No.15 in A Flat by Brahms, etc), he would have a best seller, "Classics on Pan" I would snap it up!

  • uncle jit is the only pan player from trinidad to play in disney world, in brazil and in sai baba ashram

  • Jit's "Pan in A Minor" is definitely a high water mark in the whole history of pan. That single accomplishment put Jit into the immortals category. The rest as they say is just icing on the cake. Good icing too, with gems like Bees' Melody, Guitar Pan, Iron Man etc. I think Jit lost favor with the judges somewhere along the line because he kept coming with the same old tra-la-la. Good stuff, but in this business you can't tread water, you have to push it. Plus, without Kitch, well....

  • jit never had favour with the judges as his records show as his best arrangements never won the panorama. Bees, A minor and the 1 the world still aint ready 4 "pan for carnival". Same old tra la la? hardly. no one has pushed more than jit from the 70s to today, so you must be talking about smooth or pro. 9 panoramas to one man when the great boogsie and smooth had 2? come on! pantrinbago had to do something to stop him so they shut Renegades out and brought back bradley and began to share wins

  • Thanks for that comment, which forced me to check the stats. Renegades have 9, the last being '97. Despers 9, I guess they're the ones you say have been favored? Allstars 5 or 6. Boogsie 5. You may be right, but I'm not going to begrudge Bradley his wins. Along with Jit, and Boogsie, and Smooth, he is an immortal.

  • {you need to be more diligent when checking your stats} Actually Desperadoes has 10 victories... the point i'm making is one should not trivialize the works of men like Antony Williams, Earl Rodney, Bobby Mohammed and Jit Samaroo. These people have changed the landscape of panorama and "panmanship" by pushing it a step further. Respect!

  • If I'm wrong about the stats, I'm happy to be corrected. Doesn't much matter, either way. There are some pan pioneers who make it into the pantheon (no pun intended) of immortals, and others who merely deserve mention. All deserve respect, no doubt. And you'll get no argument from me on that score. For sure, Jit is one of the immortals, and others I have mentioned. There are others too, no doubt, and my mention of some is not intended to exclude or disparage others not mentioned.

  • Desperadoes has 10 victories, yet under 2-3 different arrangers. Jit still remains the arranger with the most wins credited to him, at 9 with the Renegades. He is also the only one to ever have accomplished a hat trick.

Boogsie is good, no denying it, but he comes back to panorama with the exact ame thing OVER AND OVER. I haven't heard a single truly new Boogsie tune since Misbehave. He needs to stop recycling, and start performing at Renegades calibre.

  • @cellopanman ..nice comment man

  • cellopanman, couldn't have said it better.

  • @panman2000 yes they have

  • @panman2000 Excellent point with Pan for Carnival, Sound of the Ghost and Rant and Rave should be mentioned also. When you listen to Rant and Rave, the aggression and tone would have you believe it really is a rant. But again the judging was a let down.

  • Look my 2nd home Chaford Court in the background and of course de pan yard. Cant wait to begin 2008 practise!!!

  • THIS IS PHENOMINAL!
