  • Of all the incredible poetry and melodies from Gordon, I think this is my favorite. It's so simple, gentle, yet powerful. Thank you very much for posting this.

  • I've been a victim of his minstrelcy for a very long time.

  • Only 6890 plays of this classic folk song?? What is wrong with people??

  • An autobiographical song. A good glass of wine, a good smoke and Gordon! Need I say more. Listen to the pictures flow, across this room into your mind they go... Never stop writing and snging Gordon, we love you!

  • This is just great, Red Shea is such an incredible player!

  • And my Kevin is also Minstral Of The Dawn the II.

  • He IS the Minstrel of the Dawn. That's why this is such a great song

  • @fek2000 I second that.

  • thank you so much,,,love gordon like a second dad...

  • Thank you so much for posting. I played all of this music on my guitar in my youth, anxiously awaiting each new album that Lightfoot would do. This music is timeless, especially this bbc series. I've searched high and low for film footage of LIghtfoot. It's very sparse. This concert is fantastic.

  • Thank-you for posting this beautiful song. I have been a fan of his music since the first time this song. A friend let me borrow this album and when I heard this song I became a fan of Mr Lightfoot, and have grown up with his music.

Again thank-you for sharing this with all of us who love his music
