  • That's sweet dude, I want one so bad to go along with my kicker subs, Is the other half a normal radio deck? Where you can plug in your ipod? And how much did you pay? Thanks.

  • @xSugarDaddy420 iPod plugin is an extra module that plugs into the back. Don't remember how much I paid but it wasn't cheap (was 3 years ago)

  • you are a NEOMAXIZOOMDWEEBEE...

  • sound shabby

  • @MrLuke6593 That's just because of the crappy microphone in my camera. The amp is a 300w Pioneer pushing 280w Clarion 4-way speakers and a 900w MTX Thunder amp pushing a matching 900w 12" MTX Thunder subwoofer.

  • thats cool id rather look at a dvd movie instead of a visual anyway

  • what do you do, live in your car?

  • @Epochalypse7 Yeah I live in my car... when I'm not in my house, and I'm on my way somewhere, yes, I live in my car... WTF kinda question is that? Just cuz you can't afford the shit, don't bash it Mr. god crazy "Shaman". Go fuck yourself and get a life...

  • how much did you get if for?

  • @enr1ke7 I don't remember, it was a few years ago and I sold the car a few months ago... but it was new at the time, and something around $500 or $600 I think...

  • Those on the back seat view it with binoculars :)

  • @Echofromsomewere1 Haha, yeah well nobody rides in the back seat anyways... and I have a 7" LCD screen installed on the passenger's side of the glove box too ;)

  • will this fit in a honda civic 97?

  • @BlueRice It should, as long as your car takes single-din stereos.

  • Also an another question does it have usb adaptor?

  • @Gkiekas nope

  • I am thinking of buying this jvc...Is it good?

  • hey again.. i bought that part the flexible contact from an electronics store... and i switched it and everything,,, now it works but only the power light (red) and blue lights go and nothing on the screen... now do u wat might the problem be.? like i even tried to eject the cd that was in it.. man i just i didnt get ripped off... lol

  • i bought a used one but it doesnt work.. the contacts are messed up.. from the face plate to the deck.. is there anyway i can buy that part by it self? plz answer if u know wat im talking thanks.

  • No idea sorry... maybe try ebay? Or e-mail JVC...

  • nice one i like those in dash units better i just got one a week ago, for my toyota truck, a nd today i got another one free

  • ohh ill probably just buy the kit. THANKS

  • can you hook up a ipod to that??

  • Yes you can, there's 2 ways. You can just hook up to a jack that plugs into the headphone jack, but you won't be able to control the ipod from the deck or charge it.

Or, you can buy the kit which plugs into the back of the deck. It will charge your ipod, and you'll be able to change songs etc from the deck.

  • so akleli78 your saying u put your mp3songs on a dvd cd, and thats how u listen to your songs

  • Depends. For just music, I burn the MP3 files onto a DVD since it can read DVD's. If it's for videos, then I convert all my avi's and mpeg's to a DVD movie, like the kind that can be played in any DVD player...

  • Do you find this has really poor sound? I've fiddled with the settings on mine for ages, sounds too trebbly and not enough bass, but no matter how much I EQ, cant seem to get them right. I dont have an amplifier or a woofer, but my speakers (MTX) sound the mutts with my old Alpine stereo... :(

  • Not at all, I think it sounds amazing. For my doors I put in some Clarion 4-way speakers and have a 12" 1000W MTX Thunder sub with matching Class-D amp.

  • I have no amp or sub, got 2 mtx 3ways in the back, and 2 small pioneers at the front...that setup sounded great with my Alpine cdplayer... just cant seem to be able to make it sound as good with this one.

  • Hmm... make sure your crossover settings are turned off. If you have it turned on, it will reduce the bass in your speakers and push the bass to your sub through your RCA connection. If you don't have a sub, then you want this setting turned off so that all your speakers get the bass.

  • Ok, to be more specific, go into your sound settings. Select "High pass filter" and make sure it's set to "Through". This will give you more bass to your speakers instead of filtering it out. Let me know if it makes a difference for you.

  • Yeah, I had the crossover as through already. Ive also got the internal Amp on High, and there is another "crossover" section which I cant remember the name, but it gives me 3 Options (Hz) ...I dont know which I should pick.

  • If you have the high pass filter set to "through" then the crossover freq doesn't matter. Not sure what else could be wrong... check your EQ maybe. Sorry I can't help.

  • i got one...but i cant move the monitor like you, i don't know why...and it doesnt turn off when i pull out the key...what kind of tipe of format do you use for the videos...i use MPEG2

  • Maybe you got a bad deck... get it exchanged. Although my car is wired to keep the deck on until I pull out the key, even if it's on "Off".

I just convert videos into a DVD. It looks and sounds much better that way. Also loads faster.

  • i just ordered the vrvd630 its the same basic structure but it has more media inputs.... this one is nice tho.

  • Never seen the one you're talking about, but as you know, JVC has modules you can add on for pretty much anything (bluetooth, ipod etc). But right out of the box, it has everything I needed. I even hooked up a second LCD screen on the glovebox (see my other videos). Next is a splitter to run 2 headrest screens for the back seats. :)

  • what song is this?

  • It's "Turn it up" by Chamillionaire

  • I just bought one of these!! it looks like the best bang for your buck.. I got the 3.5mm input cable also incase I want to play my ipod on it.. or someone else does... just for kicks... anyways.. good stuff.

  • Does this deck play *.mpg files?

  • I don't think so, never tried it though either... I didn't get the ipod module, I figured an 8.5GB dual-layer DVD is more than enough room for tunes, but now I have 3DVD's full of MP3's, fortunately it still holds a ton of music so I don't have to switch often.

  • Nice! Thats pretty awesome.Hey i was wondering....If i had my ipod connected would I be able to play videos off of it while im driving???

  • nice setup dude im gettin this tomm.

  • Thanks, it's a good stereo but the menus are a pain to navigate through when driving (like adjusting subwoofer)

I now have a second 7" LCD screen mounted on my glovebox and hooked up to the deck. When playing MP3's it shows you the folders and songs list, and when playing DVD's, it shows the Movie on the external and built-in screens.

See my other video : "JVC In-Dash DVD playing video"

  • Is this JVC bigger than a normal car radio?

  • Nope, standard single DIN size.

  • can you tell me the name of this song pls

  • "Turn it up" by Chamillionaire

  • And also this one : "2 in-dash LCD screens for DVD player in my car"
