  • i have this motor in my car

    FuckYeah

  • Ford V8's are awesome. :D

  • Well, you sure would hear this one coming...

    LOL!

  • The Pershing is a totally BAD tank! I have only ever seen one (it was in front of a VFW in Illinois, near Rosemont). The 90mm may not have been as bad as the 88, but it was still pretty awesome.

  • @kyokogodai Wrong...the Pershing was one of the finest tanks

of WW II. The 90mm M-3 was extremely accurate and hard hitting. It was very easy to load and ammo stowage was great. Every US tank since has been designed on the M-26 pattern. Only the engine was bad but was fixed in Korea with the Continental 810 HP V-12 and renamed Patton M-46.

  • @pattoncommander You misunderstood my comment, friend. When I wrote "BAD" I meant as in "TOTALLY AWESOME". Not bad in the main use of the word. I know of the history of the M26 and agree, it was one of the finest tanks of WWII.

  • @kyokogodai roger kyokodai san. Gomennassai. Kekko desu.

Still not into "modern kids" language. Never cared for driving the Pershing....didn't have the "power" feel, but it was fun to load and and fire the main gun. The M-46 was much better.

  • @pattoncommander That is why I said the 90mm was "...still pretty awesome."+

  • Louuud

  • FREAKING BAD ASS!!!!! Hey, check out my Pershing Tank!

  • man listen to that engine purr, well, more like roar lol

  • Mmm sweet music, what engine is in a Pershing? that sounds like a V12.

  • It's a Ford V8,500HP Engine.

  • I've never seen this before, is this really a Ford V8? Any specs - C.I.D of motor, etc. Please let me know.

  • Yep - Search Ford GAA. Aluminum block DOHC V8. Probably not enough for a tank but imagine what it would do in something like a pickup or medium size truck.

  • Thank You.

  • Actualy, the onein thePershing was a GAF.

  • As Harentrois said, 500hp V-8. Ironicly, the GAA was originally V-12 for aircraft. But, the Navy wanted radial engines, so they cut out 4 cylinders and used it in tanks.

However, the V-12 version, 770hp, WAS used in the experimental T-29 heavy tank, designated as the GAC engine.

  • Nothing like the sound of unmuffled engines in the morning.
