this isn't a lingenfelter vette - the badge says z51r, which is simply an upgraded suspension package and brakes over the c5 vette. a real lingenfelter vette would blow anything away with a 0-60 time of 1.9s.

Read the article before you comment there ibeck - 1/4 mile in 9.24s at 150.27mph and 0-60 at 1.97s. Maybe next time you can tell Motortrend "sure..."

I've talked to both of these guys and seen their cars in person. He bought the vette then took it down to texas to have Lingenfelter and his crew do the engine, trany, and suspention. I think he also had a healthy shot of NOS hooked up at the time of this vid. He later put a supercharger on it that was visible through the hood. ....bad ass vette, and the Talon is no slouch either, I beleive it ran 11's around the time of this race.

Yeah you do have a point there, the Vette was pulling off better on the rolling starts because it was already displacing some power onto the road, like you said from start, it's going to spin those tires with all that horsepower putting out at once, the more traction the better for take offs.
