The blood is a submod that is uncluded in Third Age Total War ;)

So by downloading Third Age you automatically get the blood too :)

Shouldn't need a patch or anything. But I had this once too. Had to reinstall everything to get the blood back.

the mod is foldered, you do not need a back file. as for downloading, just go to twcenter, Kingdoms hosted modifications, Third age total war.
