  • beautiful

  • Is that a Line 6 looper in there too?

  • @Francologne Probably used for its delay effects.

  • wow that's just unbelievable how it all comes together like that, especially at 4:55

  • awesome =)

  • reggae version of breakdown by tom petty, brilliant

  • Ray you're the shit man, this is cool, thanks for the inspiration. I lit up a joint and puffed that shit to your reggae-ish beat!

I bought an RC20, but I think it doesn't allow me to stop-start a layer at will, it only lets you pause the whole stack of layers. I think I might get this one instead. Also your bass line with the octave pedal kicks ass dude. double thumbs up for you!

  • It's all technologically amazing....but the song sounds like shit. If the music isnt up to scratch who needs this pedal. It should be used to add to the music landscape doing things you can't do without it, pushing the envelope.....not to sound like a crap out of time band.

  • @misterangry2009 shut up clown, you're just trolling... envious loser. Upload your video.

  • Amazing man

  • I love the bassline!

  • great stuff man, thanks for posting

  • do you mean you need a piezo pickup or you need a piezo and another kind of pickup?

  • @Jamiesjammin1 He likes to have a piezo pickup so he can record the percussion on the body of the guitar.

  • WOW! Bravo! Bravo!

  • well done.

    5 stars

  • *****!

  • Introducing Val Doonican as himself...

"Hello there..... Hello there.... Hello there..."

  • very inspiring... 5*!

  • Easily the best demonstration of a looper I've seen. properly inspiring!

  • wow! this is great! i'm finally finding loopers online that know how to loop!

    5 stars!

i'm digging this clinic type video! i've included a video response of a looping clinic i did in chicago. my only problem is i get a feedback problem even with my mic/pickup set to 10%/ 90%.

  • congratulations this is great, good job !!

this shows better than the roland demos what we can get out of this looper, thks for posting !

  • RAYYY i just saw u 30 minutes ago man!!!

    rofl

  • Good work - really cool!

  • hi, truly inspirational! i couldnt quite make out what equipment you used down the signal line. could you confirm this.

    many thanks

    phil

  • I know U R great on the strings but, Being a vocal person my self I'm impressed by ALL the vocal parts U do @ the intro!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just amazing skill...

  • holy fuck!!!! this guy is amazing!

  • Hey Ray,

    John

  • INSPIRATIONAL! I'm gonna break out my RC-20XL again after hearing this! Thanks!!

  • what is the pedal that gives bass effect? Check out my early vids if you fancy, different style of looping... more to come soon too.

  • Man...this is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!!!! Awesome!!!

  • nice one!

    what pickup was that payso??

  • its actually piezo its basically a pickup under each string at the saddle (the bridge touching the strings by the soundhole)

i always thought it was pronounced PEE-AY-ZOE but maybe im wrong. good luck.

  • Nice one Ray! This is great stuff, posted a video response of my looping - be nice to hear what people think.

  • that was so awesome. great equipment, and an even greater musician. I am totally blown away. rock on Ray!!!

  • Great demo! And very nice playing as well.

  • Hallo Ray!

At last I can show You my music - and thank you for all the help for fellow loopers (including mailing with me:) I'm leaving you video response - thats just first song i managed to upload, there will be a lot more. Please leave me a comment - every song is a lot different - i'm trying to figure up my own style, so it's important to have some feedback. Thanks again Ray.

  • Thanks for showing your set up,I started using RC 50 with a mixer live,do you have separate control of your gat by using aux send/ret,can you play your gat through the mixer and then send it through rc 50 when looping? tryna get my set up working for max control!

  • I sent you a message hope I aint botherin ya but this vidi was kinda helpfull check my vidi out not as clean as youres but i aint had it that long Keep up the good work

  • um.. a little boring wouldn't you say?

  • In a way your right. As always the object is to make it entertaining, thats what I do for a living. However, this video is a bit more about showing the technology and how it works. Also I kept the song example kind of simple to demonstrate the gear. I would hope theres at least something to learn from this video other than "a little boring". I think the hardest part about looping is making it entertaining. lucky for me, I get paid a shit load of money to do just that. Thanks for your comments

  • Hey... i know what you mean... I did a little sample and 'my mistake" was to play a Van Morrison song and got nailed for copyright infingement.. (idiots) I didn't mean to sound nasty as far as the boring comment goes because it sounds like you have the chops to play great stuff.. rock on......

  • Thanks man.....

  • Why doesn't Boss use you to advertise that thing instead of Johnny DeMarco???

  • wonderful video my friend! i love the stuff you are doing with a loop pedal! ive got a few videos of me looping as well but its nowhere near as great as this! i have a question for you, who makes the octave pedal you used in the video? its sounds really good!

  • Hello Thanks for your comments. The pedal is a boss oc 2. this pedal works ok, but there are better ones out there. I hope this helps... Ray Nesbit

  • thanks :) i'm interested in octave pedals, but the octave tool in my multi effects pedal is absolute garbage... i'll try a few pedals at guitar shops

  • @muzicfanatik

Soooo, mind telling us which loopers you think are better than the RC-50? I ask because I'm considering purchasing one right now, and haven't seen anything with more features. Which looper would you recommend?

  • Hey Ray,

It's Walt. Still sounds awesome and very creative, however, you still owe me the 5 bucks. : ) See ya soon.

  • I really dug this. Some of the looping videos out there just aren't very fun.

  • Ragga !!

  • Love the sound of your guitar, especially when your doing the beat sounds. You're a really great musician

  • Hi Ray....it's Ronda.......WOW

  • my new hero...

  • ...continued Thanks for showing your setup too I always find that helpful and fascinating. I have been using my bass on a stand but love the octaviser idea. Also I was thinking a couple of weeks ago about some brushes. I've been using my neck for a snare snap - bet the brush might work better. I'd love to see some more! -Jeff

  • Hey I just wanted to say what a great job you do. Awesome playing - I love to see what others are using out there. I use the same fishman pickup on my 314ce - you're right on with the body sounds. I have to say you get a much cleaner tap/bongo sound then me. It may be the amount of bar noise and volume of my guitar.

  • Your looping is very impressive, and the guitar sounds tremendous. Thanks for taking the time to present your art.

  • I used to truck a car load of stuff like that too. Now I use a Laptop running Ableton Live, Sooperlooper and any number of VST's. I have at my disposal countless effects, percussion tracks, and a mixer. I walk in with a laptop, a FCB1010, a Motu Ultralite and 2 Peavey Monitors. Life is good.

  • I wanna be a supa dupa loopa like youpa!
