OMG it's a 1,4,5 with a minor 6th. These songs and about a gazillion others. As far as the poster and Springsteen not writing good songs anymore, please, Magic, Devils and Dust, the Rising all have very good songs on them. WOrking on a dream even had a couple. New songs are still very much a part of the live show, much more than most of his contemporaries.
bruce has written about 10 good songs in the last 20 years and this just proves that he has nothing new left. i agree that he didn't rip off tommy tutone but the simple chord progressions that he resorts to now are embarrassing for someone that wrote jungleland and kitty's back. i'm sure that also explains why he doesn't play most of this new crap in concert - bruce has become so pompous and self-serving but even he knows he can't fool his core fans with this garbage
well tommy tutone's song is originally about a half step lower, the guy changed the key, and the chord progressions in the two songs are slightly different. Just slightly, but still i understand the resemblence.
wow, I never thought of that. I always thought Radio Nowhere sounded like a sped-up version of Splendid Isolation by Warren Zevon ('cept for a different chorus, they're totally alike). Now I see a SECOND song it resembles. maybe a cross between the two.
Bruce should do Jenny/ 867-5309 live, but he never would. Or Splendid Isolation either.
I would normally hate someone doing this but man that is funny! The rubber effect and everything. Try this with another similar sounding song (of anyone). Just so everyone knows, Bruce didn't copy Tutone. I hope this video was a joke; that was REAL good!
Luckily I stopped after 30 seconds, still I'll never be able to get that time back.

Springsteen blatantly ripped off this song, good job making this video to illustrate

The verse progression is the most common 4 chord progression. A gazillion songs use it.

This is great! I wonder if Bruce called Tommy and asked him for the chords!
Similar Chord progression as Tom Petty Refugee, by the way.

bruce plays 867-5309 sometimes on a benefit concert;-)

Oh - and that would be kick-ass if they played together. Maybe have TT as a guest, play together for a benefit - I'M ALL FOR IT!
