This's probably gonna be a stupid question, but will the repair described in this video also work on the SNES? Mine's acting screwy and I think this's what might be wrong.
me and my friend were working on her NES for hours and we still couldnt get it to work. but then we watched your video and now the NES works! thank you so much for making this video. it would be better if it wasnt so dark but other than that great job!! ^_^
Thanks for the video post. I am a pretty savy guy with machines and electronics but i just wasn't sure how the repair to the 72 pin was done. Very helpful information.
Hey Skullkid, I just got done watching your video and the only thing Im having problems with is the pin connector part. I have the connector out but Im having a hard time figuring out what you mean by pulling the pins up. this is the first time Ive ever done anything like this before so Im wondering if you maybe have or know of a video with better quality or maybe some clear pictures showing more clearly on what to do? Other then that the video was a great help. my thanks.
WORKS PERFECTLY I SHOULD OWE YOU MY LIFE!!! THIS NES WAS THE 13th BOUGHT FROM THE LOCAL (game/atari/thing NOT A DRUG STORE XD) STORE AND NOW IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!! This worked alot i even screwed some of the pins up but it still works....thanks a ton now my kids will play the old nintendo like i did and now they know how to fix it :D
I have 6 NES'. The green one was already done from a previous time, so I was just showing how it would work when it was all put together. If you noticed, the pin connector from the other NES was still on the table.

Terrible video quality aside this is really appreciated, especially since Blaster Master is one of my very favourites!

I don't suppose you know how to fix the game tray? mine won't click and lock the game cartridge down. I have to wedge something in to keep it down...
Anarchist86ed 3 years ago
It's possible that the game tray is tightened down too tight. Try loosening the screws a little bit and see if that works.

I suppose it could work. I haven't tried it personally because the SNES requires a special bit screwdriver.

I tried to fix my NES and now the controllers do not work!

lol, nevermind, I figured it out. Thanks for your help, it works awesome!
Wraithind 4 years ago
Yeah sorry about the bad quality. That's what happens when you use cheapo cameras. :(
Good to hear you got it figured out though.
sacredskullkid 4 years ago
If you can't figure it out, you can buy a new one off of ebay for under $5. Just make sure you don't overpay on shipping.

Daaaaamn. Honestly, dude, once I saw the gold NES, I thought it was fake, but after this video. Two words came out of my mouth: "Holy shit"
CarlosX360 4 years ago
The video is low quality, I know, but the NES looked gold the first few minutes the video playing. Oh well.
CarlosX360 4 years ago
It IS gold.
sacredskullkid 4 years ago
But, SK, I could have sworn I saw a green NES later in teh video. Wasn't sure.
Looks like I was right. Again.
