umm...i used the polygonal lasso and press the icon with two gray square that overlapping but i cant select more than one area at one time...can you help me?

I'm having a small problem. when i started the manga scan i was working on, it already said RGB.... but it won't go to color when i select a color... it stays gray. can you help me with that?

how do u get to use the colors

There's a square on the left hand side of the screen at the bottom of the tools that overlaps another square. Click that and a window will pop up with the colors. At the side of the window, you can move an arrow up and down to choose a color. Then click on the brush tool and you can color.

Hello. I was wondering if you it's possible to fade colors? My character has black fading into purple hair. Is it possible to do it this way?

For fading colors, usually you'd have to use gray and set the layer to multiply.

However, if you want, you can also do the shading in a completely different color and put a gradient overlay on the shading to make it a darker purple fading into black.

I was tryng to edit along with this video and then when got t the step where you color that hair in layer one photoshop wouldn't let me. There was this hand over the pic no matter whch tool clicked on. Why did that happen?

It's a glitch in photoshop. it happened to y sister. she just closed it for a while and opened it back up.

the burn tool doesnt look as nice unless you have photoshop cs4 where the dodge and burn tool have a 'protect tones' option.

Right Click on the Layer, and Near the Bottom It Says Flatten Image, and Above It I think It says Merge Down, or if you want to merge all of the layers together then just click Flatten image, It wont ruin it, and if something happens then just push Ctrl and Z and the same time. It is a Keyboard Shortcut to undo anything.

you left click on a layer with the picture and at the bottom of the list it should have "merge visible" on it :3

make sure the hardness of the smear tool is 0

the strength should be around 50%
