@V8Cruisers100series - First of all: I don't live in Australia :) second - I use this car for fun and racing (for traveling and expeditions I have LC100series with 4.2 Turbo Diesel Engine), finally - this engine has no problem at all with water crossing - is totally water proof, can worked completely under water even for a longer time.

Good engine choice.Always put in it hte best quality gasoline you can find.These engines has a seriouw problem with low octane gasoline.Noelle has a stroker kit for that engine.From 4litres it goes to 5.2.But if you ever going to spent money to stroke it think about the LS "solution".
putting gasoline engines on off road cars is a bad idear.u need low rpm torq ,unlike high rpm HP that is provide by the gasoline.but if u use this on road not off is a good idear.
@janush2000 hey thats pretty cool, but as an american we dont have access to patrols, are they sold in all of europe and asia or just specific places? i noticed most arent RHD so thats why i ask

Toyota 2UZ-FE-271 hp at 4800 rpm with 427 N·mat 3400 rpm
toyota more low down torque and runs cooler and more reliable just what you need for a heavy 4x4 .. So vtc31 had a good point
